Tried the Custard Cream Bun. It's a cold chinese bun stuffed with custard cream. The bun is small like those cream puff size. Taste is ok. I can't say it's bad but its not good either. May be other flavours will taste better? I don't think I will buy again as I don't think it's worth the price.

That chicken kaarage sandwich the chicken Sando is the bomb! The mayo sauce is creamy but tart and goes well with the breaded chicken. The cream buns custard and pistachio were awesome!

3.5 STARS Hattendo has been opened for a couple months now inside Markville mall. Hidden right when you walk out of Walmart into the mall, across from kernels. mr. Tran surprised me with their custard buns and was amazed how soft their buns were and the custard was just the right amount of sweetness for anyone who doesn't like sweets. My daughter really enjoyed it as well. Price is a little steep per bun, but would definitely like to try their matcha one next time.

I love Hattendo!!! So happy that finally Markham has one, the buns are always fresh and tasty. the store is small and low profile, staff always super nice and the place is very clean. recently they have bread loaf, the chocolate flavor is like heaven.Kid-friendliness: my kids love the bread loaf, annin tofu and fruit sandwich.Wheelchair accessibility: very easy to access

Super disappointed. Just picked up our order of a box of lava custard moon cake today (pre-ordered online). At a price tag of $58 per box, you get 4 tiny bite sized cakes. Actual size is less than 2 inches wide - quite smaller than a regular size moon cake. Would not recommend buying, not worth $15/cake.

The oreo cream bun from Hattendo was very good, and it also had a lot of filling!

Expensive but tasty. Liked by kids and adults. Service was average. Worth a try.

As I was curious to try this for the first time, unfortunately, it just wasn’t the greatest experience for a decent lunch.I ordered the chicken sandwich with the request for it to be heated. Unfortunately, the sandwich was still quite cold when eating it. Furthermore, for the price paid for it, the small portion size did not justify its cost. Finally, the service wasn’t that great. While I could understand that the POS machine was not working at the time (had to use cash), the fact that they could not register my rewards points was inexcusable. The server actually offered to take down my number to register the points later, but the manager intervened and stated that they wouldn’t do it.Quite disappointing, as that was my first and last time there.

I saw this place as I was taking a walk in the mall and decided to try it. I took one bite and fell in love with the texture of the bun and the filling. I'll definitely be back to try the others!

Came here on Wednesday april 12th around 5pm and had the worst experience. The employee should not be in customer service. I bought 3 buns - 2 pistachio and 1 custard and a yuzu tea. She didn’t fully close the lid for the drink, and gave me the buns as is. She even dropped one of them on the floor but still handed to me. When I asked for a bag she saw my “shopping bag” from elsewhere and told me “don’t you have a bag?” Please look for a job elsewhere

A box of 6 buns is tax-free. I'm not a huge fan of the bun flavour but the cream fillings are great - light and silky, barely sweet. Egg sando was okay; tasty filling but the bread is average.Flavour ranking:1. Blueberry (seasonal)2. Matcha3. Custard4. Pistachio (seasonal)5. Whipping cream

Always love coming to hattendo for a treat! So happy they made it to markville!I got the seasonal flavour few weeks ago, which was chestnut! The seasonal flavours are the ones to try if you want something special as these flavours rarely come back.Bun is super soft and so easy to tear and share and the cream is loaded and so nice and creamy! But if you are tearing, just be weary that the creamy filling can also spill out.The one thing to try on top of their buns is the hojicha pudding! The pudding, which I wish had more in each serving was amazingly creamy and smooth! Could definitely make out the hojicha flavour too! Packaging for the puddings are on point! Nice little reusable jar that you can use later and the little wrap in the top tied off with some coarse string is such a vibe. This makes for a great get together item to bring too! They always have some offer going on, but just ask the attendants when you get thereService was good too! Informed me of any offers that had going on too! And I think they have a loyalty program too now!Great job overall!

It is a new place in Markville Mall and it looked really interesting. We got a variety of treats to share. Texture was nice. Flavors were good. My favorite was the chocolate and the whipped cream filling.

Tried the custard cream bun and it was soft and pretty tasty. It’s a cold bun. However for the value given the price ($4.40 after tax) and small size, it was not worth it. Good for what it is but not good enough for that price.
