Had a fantastic experience in this spot with my son. The food arrives quickly and the customer service is just awesome. Prices are fair.

The 2 of us had dim sum brunch at Hot Spot last Saturday. The restaurant appeared to be under new management. There was only 1 server, and she was chatty and friendly. We took advantage of the flat rate deal by ordering before 11am. We ordered 5 items and all tasted alright. I liked the congee the most, because there were lot of ingredients (thousand years eggs and pork riblets). Other dim sums items tasted like they were pre-made and reheat, which is a common practice of small restaurants nowadays. Nevertheless, I found the freshness level acceptable. My boyfriend liked that there were lots of beef in the beef rice rolls. I departed with a feeling that the new management intended to operate Hot Spot as a neighborhood family restaurant. We would likely return to try out their dinners.

Good deal bargain for lunch, stir fry dish with rich, soup, instant hot milk tea, one spring roll and one dumpling. But:Food came late, they handle all takeaway and deliver order first.Service made a mistake in my soup choice and insist the soup came is good.No credit cards accept ( found out when getting the bill) for a proper restaurant.I don’t think I will come back again.

The quality/quantity of their food is actually comparable Yu Seafood (Leslie/hwy 7). It’s super quiet. We were one of the two customers that were there throughout the entire sitting. The service is great (because nobody else is there). The price is fair. It’s $3.90 small-large sizes before 11am. Was here on a Thursday. We’ll go back again next Thursday.

Restaurant is roomy and kids friendly. Have been here twice for dinner, price is slightly high from my point of view. Soup is great! Some dishes are slightly on the salty side but overall good taste. Veggies are fresh.Friendly reminder: check both side to see if there's previously marked order on the order paper, the first time we went, the paper is already marked with dishes that someone else circled.

Loved the Halloween theme decorations! There aren't a lot of establishments that put in that much effort into the festive season. I had dim sum yesterday there. The food was decent and the service was attentive.Sorry my photos of some of the decoration efforts are a blur, it was originally a video.

Menu was a bit confusing. Restaurant is very clean and tasted really fresh and delicious. Mushroom Noodle soup tasted great and didn't have the salty aftertaste you get at other restaurants.

Actually is a bit of a surprise for me. We originally plan to go to another restaurant in the same plaza but the are full. So we give this a try and we like it.We order some basics Chinese dishes like free range chicken, Chinese style beef ribs... They all taste good. All dishes come out very fast too.Services is above average! Two things I did not give the 5 stars1. Our waiter stand beside us when we decide what to order and she keep making suggestions to a point I find it alloying.2. Their celling is wrap in some kind of plastic, when the fan turn on it is loud.I will come back and recommend to friends for sure

Went here with my dad at around 11:30am on a Saturday, there were only about 3 tables when we sat down. We ordered at 11:40am. We ordered spicy chicken rice and a Singaporean fried vermicelli. We waited patiently until 12:30 with no updates and no food. We reminded them of the food and by 12:40 there was still no food. We left at 12:45 because the wait was absolutely ridiculous and the service was horrid. Would not recommend this place at all.

Outside there was a sign that said "All you can eat Hot Pot" so I went inside and asked for hot pot and they said they didn't serve it so I left.

Reluctantly went to this place again for takeout dim sum, they had decent dim sum before when they first opened but now it's terrible. Most of the food was dry and flavourless, one order was wrong AND NOTHING WAS HOT. I live 800m from the store. Got siu mai, shrimp dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leaf, 2 chicken buns and pan fried turnip cake The siu mai is small, 50% of the size before. They used to have 3 shrimps now they have 1. The meat is dry, flavour was alright though. $3.88 for early bird and $7 regularly The shrimp dumplings tastes alright, also the half the size of before, lacks flavour. Also $3.88 regular $7 The sticky rice lotus leaf was the only normal dish. It tasted alright, texture and flavour wise. Also $3.88, regular $7 The 2 chicken buns they got wrong. They gave one chicken bun and one vegetable bun. Theyre huge but they're $2 each! 60% bun and 40% filling now. The picture shows it's not the same bun. Not fresh. Dry and not much flavour. Tasted old The pan fried turnip cake was okay, average taste, texture, size $3.88 early bird cant remember regular price. Went from a decent dim sum place from a place you should avoid. EVERYTHING WAS COLD. Won't last much longer, saw 2 tables out of 30+ being used a year ago and it's the same situation now. Maybe it's just a money laundering restaurant

We ordered four vegetarian dishes and they were all excellent. Hard to pick my favourite: the egg bean curd with spicy salt were crisp light and moist, as were the deep fried bitter melon with salted egg yolk. The bean curd with vegetable was silkily with delicious sauce and the assorted mushroom with vegetables was also really good. Even the complimentary dishes hit the short: an appetizer of spicy fungus and pickled daikon and a mango/red bean and coconut heart to finish. I'd make the trek to come back!
