The food portions are good. If you get the boneless fried chicken, it's probably better to share with a group.Found the Bulgogi Jungsik particularly delicious. They usually have music playing the entire time as well. I think cost wise, this place sits on the higher side.Washrooms on premises.

I haven't been here in a while, but my memories of it are always the BEST! The food here is pricey, but the Korean Fried Chicken tastes very good and is worth every dollar. Unfortunately, I was not able to get seated at my most recent visit, because we were 3 minutes away from last call. Also, they changed the name of the restaurant for some reason. No review yet as I haven't tried the food since the name change, I will try going again. Hopefully the food is just as great as I remember.

the moment we walked, we were greeted by a lovely server she was very sweet! the place is so well decorated and cute. plating was so cute and aesthetic. the garlic soy chicken was absolutely delicious and the spicy chicken killeddd us but the spice made it scrumptious. and finally the sweet potato fries were so crunchy and not too oily! can’t wait to come back for more ?

Wide variety selection of Korean food. Chicken were huge. It’s on the pricier side for Korean food.

If you're looking for a restaurant that specializes in Korean fried chicken and beer, then look no further than Mr. ChiMaek on Kennedy Road in Markham, ON. This cozy spot has a great atmosphere and delicious food that will leave you wanting more. The Korean fried chicken is out of this world. It's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a perfect blend of sweet and spicy flavors. Whether you're in the mood for classic fried chicken or something a bit more adventurous, like the garlic soy or spicy BBQ, Mr. ChiMaek has got you covered. But it's not just the chicken that's amazing at Mr. ChiMaek. The menu also features a range of Korean dishes, from classic bibimbap and kimchi fried rice to noodle dishes like japchae and spicy seafood udon. I got the gamjatang which was delicious, but after a bites the owner noticed that it had a burnt smell a little bit. Because of this, the owner came over to check if everything was fine, and wanted to exchange our food. I insisted it was good, but she came back with dumplings. AMAZING SERVICE!Will be back for more, thank you!

Such delicious fried chicken from Mr. chimaek! Our go to order is honey butter fried chicken. I find this flavour you can't get anywhere else! Also loved the kimchi fried rice with cheese! I wished they still served it. I find one order of chicken and fries a bit pricey but is more than enough between two people. I love the ambiance especially if you're a fan of Studio Ghibili, Starwars or DC & Marvel! The service is friendly, quick and efficient. Highly recommend trying them out especially if you want to try Korean fried chicken :)

Overpriced and a lot of the food seems to be what you can buy from Costco. Probably won't go again

After having a bad experience previously from a nearby establishment it was time to give mr chimaek a go. I called in to place my takeaway order, wait was a very reasonable 15-20 mins. Cash discount offcourse, i paid for my food and rushed home. The hostess was courteous, helpful and welcoming. She may have been part of the ownership/management. The decor was very geeky/modern/clean. Each table had a city imprinted on it and the art was intriguing. I absorbed the ambience as i waited for my food. Now to the main part, the chicken. What can i say, it was fried chicken and it was fried chicken, done very well. The sauce was very well done and not runny. I would for sure revisit and try other flavours.

Mozzarella spicy rice cake ??‍♀️(ordered take out. For $20+, The portion and presentation are really disappointing. taste is not impressive but decent. Love the rice cake though, staying chewy even after hours and microwave. Very clean aftertaste, you can tell they use good ingredient. Better go in group & share

A wonderful place and in our experience, the best Korean fry chicken restaurant in GTA. Chicken so crispy and yet surprising juicy. Wide selection of fry chicken dishes in terms of flavor, sauce, cooking style and portion (half-and-half gives great flexibility).Price is definitely value for money although not the cheapest.Service is always attentive and friendly!

I wanted to try the honey butter chicken. It was not bad but definitely too expensive. The chicken did not really impress me. The cashier was friendly. It’s also almost double compared to the Korean place at Langham.

First time coming here,The place is really nicely decorated with a bunch of pop culture icons.I really like the small yet still spacious interior which makes it feel more intimate if you are going with a group or a date. The food was pretty pricey but worth it as it was delicious (for reference my group had the carbonara boneless and the cheese butter seasoned boneless and kimchi fries)Overall, a great place with great food and reasonable prices. If I had to think of a con it would be that it's pricey. That's about it

There are several things to like about Mr. Chimaek - the variety of fried chicken flavor/sauce options on the menu; the ample seating options and ambiance; and good hours for those seeking a bite to eat later in the evening. However, (1) the menu items are certainly on the pricier end of things, and you can probably find comparable korean fried chicken for about $10 CAD less; (2) the kitchen does close about 45 minutes to an hour before the restaurant's closing time, which is an important consideration for anyone looking for hot food; and (3) the food is decent, but not authentic. You can likely find more authentic korean fried chicken closert to the Toronto metro area. i can't help but think that many who say this is exceptional korean fried chicken haven't had much korean fried chicken. The chicken at Mr. Chimaek was freshly made (hot!) but on the drier side, and the sauces were not quite right. All in all, it's decent fare and worth considering if you're craving fried chicken and happen to be in the area, so long as you have the right expectations in place.

One of the best KFC in GTA! Their spicy sauce chicken is a must try along with the creamy teokbokki, yum
