I'm a fan of their Taiwanese popcorn chicken and and grass jelly milk tea, so I was quite disappointed with this Uber eats order. Perhaps I should not have ordered Malaysian specialties at a Taiwanese restaurant?? 1st I ordered Malaysian chicken but got beef instead.. The Hainanese chicken did not come with any sauce, and the green beans Just tasted weird. I'm still giving it 3 stars because the Hainanese chicken And the rice was still quite good and generously portioned. We've ordered this dish before and disappointed we did not get any sauce this time.

I wanted to get shaved ice and found ZenQ online in Markham. This restaurant came up when looking at the Snappy app for ZenQ. Apparently they are in the same location. Decided to get some food before dessert and so glad I did ! We tried the baked chicken rice combo comes with drink with option to add $1 for cold drink. Also tried the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and satay chicken. Everything tasted great. Baked tomato chicken rice was large potion and really tasty HK style. Satay chicken well seasoned and comes with peanut sauce on the side so thoughtful! popcorn chicken also nicely packed with vented lid so nothing gets soggy, the temperature is still hot and maintains crispiness ! At this time only takeout due to covid but it's a lovely find in the Langdon plaza. After lunch we ordered the Mango mango shaved ice with extra fruit topping ( got lychee ) and qball. Generous mango ice cream, mango fruit and pudding topping and super fine shaved ice. Loved my takeout experience and will definitely return.

food is good, but whenever I order off ubereats it's almost always a 50/50, sometimes portion comes out huge and sometimes portions come half empty....

During this pandemic, one of my pastimes that I have picked up is browsing food apps to decide where I should go to get takeout. Last week, I was looking at my Uber Eats app and noticed that Taoyuan Neverland had a $6 promotion on a couple of items. I did a double-take to see if I was losing my mind. Nope, it was correct. I took advantage of it last Wednesday night. I got the General Tso chicken on rice and the cheesy baked bolognese spaghetti. Each one was indeed $6. This eatery offers Taiwanese and Hong Kong-style dishes. The dishes listed on the menu are extensive. Here's a crazy fact. It takes me roughly six minutes to drive from my home to this place, which is at Langham Square. Have I ever been to this mall before? Nope. Well, I broke this streak at long last. So, there! As usual, when I am getting great deals like these two meals, I feel the need to get something else. Taoyuan Neverland also offers ZenQ bubble tea. The only ZenQ place that I have frequented was the store in downtown Mississauga. I could never find my go-to drink the three visits that I had made there. I got to Langham Square and figured out that this eatery is outside on the second floor. I needed to drive up a shallow ramp to get there. The parking lot is not designed well. Markhamites tend to be poor drivers in general (I need to exclude myself, as I'm a transplant from Toronto, so I know better). Starting them off with a crazy intersection on a ramp incline is horrible! I managed to avoid the confusion that this intersection had brought to two vehicles and got to the eatery. I backed into a parking spot. This mall was pretty dead at around 7 pm on a Wednesday night. However, there was steady business at Taoyuan Neverland, which made me happy. I walked in and said hi to a cheerful woman. I said that I had an Uber Eats order and rattled off the last four digits of my order number. She happily handed a plastic ba with my goodies to me. I thanked her. She reciprocated. I walked out. Sadly, when I placed my food in the backseat of my car, it did take a side tumble. When I corrected my takeout package, everything was intact. There was no sauce spillage. I was highly impressed. I drove home and had dinner. I didn't eat everything. Rather, I had half of each dish for dinner and had the leftovers the following day. Let's start with the bubble tea. The fourth time at ZenQ was the charm. I ordered a large peach iced tea, with no sugar and less ice. It was refreshing, the tea was done just right, the flavours were perfect, and I was a happy camper. I went with the General Tso chicken. I learned from a documentary years ago that General Tso isn't a real guy in history. Anyway, this dish had a hot pepper next to it on the menu. The sauce was sweet and tangy. I didn't taste any heat. I am so used to Hakka food that it didn't have enough heat that I am now used to. It was too sweet. Still, I enjoyed how tender the chicken was. It came with a lot of rice. I couldn't eat all of it. I used the remaining rice to make fried rice, which turned out well. The rice here is good. You simply get a ton of it. I loved the cheesy baked bolognese spaghetti. Spaghetti is comfort food to me. it had the perfect combination of bolognese sauce with the spaghetti and cheese goodness on top. The spaghetti was al dente. I enjoyed how yummy it was. I loved it. It tasted even better the following day. Its regular price is $12. I'd be happy shelling out for full price. The portions here are generous. I am a fan. I will definitely come back to try more items off the menu. It's nice that I can get bubble tea and a good meal at one eatery. (16)

The Yum Report ..

This restaurant is quite interesting in a sense that it took over the physical location of the dessert chain ZenQ in Langham Square and now operating as though they are partners. Their menu is fairly extensive, including baked rice/spaghetti dishes, Taiwanese style cuisine and various stir fry options. The Japanese grilled beef w/ rice was delicious, the beef was tender and flavorful. With an additional $2, you can select from a short list of drinks as well. However, the food took forever to be served. Japanese Grilled AAA Beef w/ Rice ($14.99) Pineapple Bun + Egg & Luncheon Meat ($5.75) Original Pearl Milk Tea ($2 w/ Meal) @TaoyuanNeverland Price Range: $4.75 - $19.99 IG: #The_Yum_Report

Got genseng chicken soup, Taiwanese deep fried chicken, beef brisket pho and cucumber salad. Everything was delicious except the pho was over cooked. I had to finish it with spoon instead of chopsticks.

It's a HK Style restaurant..suppose to be.. but it has a bit menu with any kind of food.. this is a small place with small kitchen.. so, I imagine not too many chefs in the kitchen and how can chefs be good at every dish on the menu?

I wanted to try something new in Markham and was pretty excited to see the positive reviews. Tip: Parking is a hassle. Try going down to the garage during rush hours to save yourself tears. AMBIANCE: 4/5 The dining room is small but comfortable. They're able to accommodate groups but also have booths for smaller parties. Restaurant is not very bright (which I prefer) but not dark. FOOD: 4/5 There's a Special Menu that gets you a dish + drink for $12.99 1. Special Menu: Spicy Chicken Rice Noodle Soup: ABSOLUTELY love this. I think I'm just into how spicy it is (numbs you a little too). They give a decent portion of chicken & LOTS of noodles. Ultimate comfort food. I pair this with the honey jasmine green tea. 2. Steak & Egg with Broccoli over Rice: my boyfriend LOVED this. The steak was pretty good quality and filling. The dish was plated so nicely. I didn't really like their sauce as much - it was more sweet than savoury. 3. Special Menu: Panfried Beef Noodle. Lots of beef, lots of noodles. Comes with a drink. Definitely a solid choice 4. Cucumbers & Black Fungus: this appetizer had a lil kick to it and actually really great as a starter. It helps cut through a lot of the oil. 5. Curry Beef with Roti: This appetizer was okay. I love the roti but I wish the curry had a little bit more spice. But a must try! 6. Brick Toast: Either with peanut butter or condensed milk. We actually got the peanut butter and poured condense milk over top. For $5 this was a great snack. SERVICE: 4/5 Service is a little slow sometimes because there's not enough staff. I came in once when there were 3 tables but the waitress was checking someone out and we awkwardly stood there for a few minutes until we could get her attention. Food comes out fast and hot though! I've came here 3 days in a row (with family and different friends). New go-to place in Markham!

I ordered party trays for a corporate event from here and the staff were very helpful and responsive! The prices are more affordable than downtown and they delivered it straight to our door exactly on time. Really happy with their service and everyone enjoyed the food.
