Food was fine but service was terrible. Our waitress this evening didn’t introduce herself and seemed to be a in rush to take our order despite the restaurant being quiet empty. After the initial order was taken we didn’t see her again and our food was served by different people (who were extremely pleasant). Had to flag down someone else to request our bill as our waitress didn’t even come to check if everything was okay with our meals at any point until we got the bill.

There was fruit flies everywhere. There was no one to great us, we had to wait a little bit before we got seated. We were never started with water when we got to the table. We had to wait a while before we were even able to order out drinks and food. The waitresses never really check up on you. Booths are a way to go because the chairs arent as comfortable.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Pickle Barrel Markville. Our server Sylvia was patient and kind, and helped us pick out some really great sandwiches. We got a smoked meat sandwich and a double Monty, both were very juicy and flavourful. We will definitely be back!

My family and I went here for dinner we had the pesto chicken fettuccine, kids burger, south west chicken salad, and the beet and goat cheese salad and they were all scrumptious. One of us has celiac’s and our waitress, Silvia ensured their meal was gluten-free and well taken care of. :)

So the food, was good. We had their brunch menu and got the chicken and waffles and the grand breakfast (way too much food for 1 person).However, the environment and the atmosphere could use some work. The floors were super sticky and there were a few flies hovering over our food. We were there pretty early and the place was completely empty but when we asked to change tables, the staff were hesitant. By the time we left, the restaurant was still pretty empty, so not sure why it was a dilemma to move.

Had a latte, strawberry orchard lemonade, Shirley temple mocktail, honey garlic chicken wings and southwestern chicken salad. My server Silvia was really nice. Everything was really good, especially the chicken in the salad. Nice and clean environment with a nice and quiet bar like ambience. Convenient location within Markville Mall.

Best Ruben Sandwich I have ever had!!! We had a great family gathering at this location. Our server Silvia was more than wonderful! She suggested stacking my sandwich higher with the side of sweet fries, and was really good. Fresh bread, juicy meat and crunchy pickles. GM delivered the food to our table .We all had great meals and wonderful time. Great team work!!!

Took my 7 year old daughter here for a little date night. We ordered the nachos, and she got the kids meal with fruitopia, fish and chips and the most perfect sized sundae. Sylvia (our server) was incredible with us and especially with my daughter. She was incredibly sweet to my daughter, checked to make sure we were satisfied with our food, and always spoke to my daughter directly and with respect. Makes a huge difference when the little human is treated well. Definitely coming back and asking to be seated in Sylvia's area!Kid-friendliness: Treated my 7 year old with kindness and respect.

Updated review (August 1): I revisited pickle barrel Markville today with my family and I had a great dining experience! The food (we ordered 2 lobster pastas and a Reuben with fries) was great. The lobster pastas were so good that my family ordered 2.Tony's service was amazing (thank you!) He was accommodating, patient, and welcoming.No more flies neither in the dining area.Will come again. Thank you :) :)July 25: Food was good, EXCEPT the lettuce wrap.. it tasted like it was boiled in soy sauce, the fried bread tasted like it was cooked it stale oil. Other things we ordered: mushroom steak, lobster linguine, Reuben. All were tasting great.
