It was our first visit to Melo's. The service was great, the potatoes were great, the whole chicken was good but not great. The rice was kinda dry & bla and the shrimp patty was terrible. Way to much garlic in it.

We recently used Melo’s for my sisters bridal shower :) we fed 60 people and EVERYONE was raving about the food and going back for seconds !!! The potatoes were melt in your mouth, rice was perfect and the chicken moist and delicious. We had so much food, great portion sizes ! We will definitely be visiting Melo’s again. Thank you ?

My wife saw a post on Milton Strong so we tried it. Now its our regular for a take out night. The food is amazing. The full chicken, potatoes and a salad fed our family of 4 with two giant 20 year old sons with leftovers. The chicken is so moist and I can't even explain how good the potatoes are. I love the hot sauce too. We've also had the Bifana sandwiches and they are a full meal on their own. This place is not expensive for what you get and the food is excellent. Haven't tried the ribs yet but they look so good. Call ahead so you aren't waiting for prep as the chickens may take up to 15 mins if they are.busy.Don't bother going anywhere else for chicken.

If you are looking for a very reasonably priced dinner for the family that is incredibly yummy (my kids are not big meat eaters but they eat Melo's chicken), then you'll love this place! The dinner special comes with a whole chicken, and 2 generously sized sides of your choice. We generally get the greek salad and potatoes (the potatoes are always done perfectly). The atmosphere is friendly and we've never been disappointed once - and we've been there at least a dozen times!

In town to visit family and stopped in for a bite. Wow! The chicken was super fresh and grilled to perfection. The bread was flaky and had a delicious crust. The potatoes had a nice mild kick to them. By far the star of the show was the desert pastry. The inside was kind of a rice pudding meets crem brûlée. Wow!
Top notch food and service! Our kids love the chicken and potatoes and ask to eat here all the time. There are no cutting corners when it comes to quality and it never disappoints. Have to say this is THE BEST Portuguese chicken spot in town!! A huge thank you to the owners who are always there which makes this place special. I got the family meal and added shrimp. The flavour of the hot sauce was nice and my chicken was nicely seasoned and not dry, he took it right off the grill. The shrimp and potatoes were inedible. I had to throw them out. They must have been sitting in the hot counter since lunch, and they got so over cooked. You couldn’t put a fork in the potatoes without them breaking into a mushy mess. Eating them was like eating a wet ball. The shrimp was very fishy and so over cooked I could barely chew it. Ending up throwing out $20 worth of shrimp. I would suggest going when they first open if you want to try this place so you don’t get overcooked food.

Had the grilled chicken with sides. Chicken was well cooked and the skin was charred just right. Been wanting to try this for a while and did not dissapoint. There was a mishap while ordering but they were very accommodating.They did have Portuguese tarts as well, did not order them though.
