Time and time again Freddies has not disappointed. Now that I moved out of Mississauga, I will try to stop by when I am in the area. Still the best bang for your buck with their jerk chicken with rice and peas. The veggies are always super fresh. The lady working the front counter is always genuinely in a good mood. You know they are doing it right when they put the seasoning underneath the chicken skin so it penetrates the meat and packs flavour! Drove the takeout an hour and a half to get home to eat it so don’t mind the condensation in the container. Imagine smelling it all the way home, so worth it!

I've been going to Freddy's a few years now. It used to be bomb! Always got the Rasta pasta or jerk chicken with rice and peas. As of late, we've been noticing the pasta lacking in flavour. It is not a Rasta pasta. It is a linguine with jerk chicken in Alfredo sauce and bland shrimp. I noticed they had other Alfredo based pastas on the menu, and realize they are probably stretching the recipes so as not to have to make other pasta sauce but still! Just take it off the menu then! It tasted like a frozen dinner lol. Everybody knows what makes Rasta pasta is the jerk sauce; there was none in the Pasta sauce at all. My partner also got a jerk chicken meal and said the jerk chicken was SALTYYYY. i don't know if they changed cooks or owners but it doesn't hit the same. The lady at the front is very sweet, but the way the food was packaged was also a problem, they put it in these flimsy containers, we barely made it 5 minutes away and realized the pasta sauce was leaking everywhere, the whole meal was a greasy mess. I likely will not return here!

The j*** chicken came with vegetables and rice and beans. The rice had a nice coconut flavour. Seafood soup was really interesting like a nice healthy homemade broth-soup with bits of shrimp shell and such that you can fish out once you finish the second half at home. Good value.

3rd time there for the most important meal of a Jamaican spot (**** chicken, rice & peas) and after giving them the chance for the THIRD TIME……The chicken has always been SALTY.. sorry to post this but I’ve been disappointed for the 3rd time after spending my money here…Not to mention the fact that I saw they put the same amount of steamed veggies and rice in the medium or large size....
