The food was a bit off from Rexdale location but I had a nice time and the waiter(Ahmed) was pleasant. Get some damn Bananas next time!!! SubhanAllaah smh...

I’m so happy to finally have a Somali restaurant nearby. I usually have to drive to Etobicoke to get good Somali food (otherwise I have to drive up to Ottawa for it).Hamdi restaurant is the perfect spot for quality Somali cuisine. I had the chicken sabaya wrap and boy let me tell you, I just might choose this over shawarma and shawarma is in my veins (as a Leb). It was incredible. So tasty the flavors are amazing and best wrap I’ve had.I also had the Suqar (beef and rice) and it was one of the best I’ve had. The portions are huge. It took me two meals to finish the wrap and three to finish the beef and rice.The service is great. The people there are warm and friendly and you can feel their amazing and humble energy. Hamdi’s will be one of my go to for Somali food. Don’t forget to try their sweet tea. I don’t care what diet you’re on, you have to try it.

This was my first time eating Somalian food. I had the goat dinner with rice. It was so tender and delicious. Staff is so polite and nice. Explained how to best eat for the most flavour experience. I was blown away. I noticed reviews about the mango juice. I will have to come back soon and try that. I highly recommend this place. Very clean when I arrived at 1. And the bathroom was pretty good too.

Last night I went to pick up iftaar and it was really busy with people dining in and people lining up for takeout but what amazed me was the cooks inside (even though it’s Ramadan and they were probably so tired and fasting) they helped everyone so quickly and gave us amazing service and delicious food. All of the staff members the cooks the cashier and the waiters were all working so hard. I’m making dua for them that Allah give them reward for their efforts and hardwork and fasts and I will recommend everyone to support them and may Allah put barakah in their business. ?
Great place for iftar!! Great food, great portions, great people! The only thing we had some issue with was the wait time (we were the last the order, so I’ll give them that). But to be honest, the people working there are so down to earth, they deserve 6 stars. So, even if we take 1 star away for the wait, they’ll end up at 5/5
