Mr Big ahh what can I say? As a Trini this is my favourite JA restaurant. I usually order the oxtail, it is always delicious, bone nice and soft, gravy very tasty on my rice n peas. Either I am just super friendly ?or the staff is very pleasant and friendly. Young lady at the cash always has a smile on her face. First impression is so important. As a matter of fact I think I am going to order a dinner right now. Just thinking about it got me.

I love this little Caribbean spot in Mississauga!The service is superb. The cashier lady recognized us instantly because we came two days in a row. She's very friendly and ensured that we got the soda can that is included in the lunch combo (which we wouldn't have known otherwise).The food itself is good, just like how caribbean food should taste like. The chicken is tender and the curry is flavourful. Similarly, the jerk chicken is also delicious. I would come here again in a heartbeat if I was in the neighborhood and I'm craving Jamaican food.You also can't beat the price for lunch special. $7 for a small plate of curry chicken with rice and peas and pop is pretty good if you ask me.There's a small dining area of three tables so if you're planning on a take-out, this is the place. The ambiance is authentic Jamaican. There's also plenty of free parking available as this restaurant is situated in a big plaza.I've been wanting to try the patties as well but they seem to run out very quickly. Until next time!

Jamaican restaurants are notorious for having bad customer service, as a Jamaican I can say that. The customer service at Mr. Bigs is one of the best I've had.The food is good. The portions are decent for the price. Their fried dumplins are my addiction. (Yes, they're big, yes they're a bit greasy, what's the problem? Lol!)

Ordered over the phone for a takeout.. we got the large jerk pork and jerk chicken, food was fresh and tasted great. Only downer was there was no fried plantains.

I decided to give this restaurant a shot after reading mostly positive reviews. I order stew peas with white rice via ubereats. I'm giving 3 stars for speedy service and a good portion of food. I'm substracting 2 stars because the stew peas dinner was too salty and not one spinner/dumpling was in the meal. Stew peas are supposed to be served with spinners --- I didn't receive one. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

On Monday, Jan 15, 2024, I bought a large red peas soup with beef. I paid for the soup and went home at the soup and noted not one piece of beef meat in my purchase. I am mad. It tasted good, but put some meat in the soup or sell at reduced price, or let people know that meat is done.
