Shamiana has one the best halwa poori naashta in GTA. Their pooris are so dry it feels moso heavy at all and aloo tarkari, halwa and cholay on point. Recently, also tried it there Nihari, Paye and desi omellete everything tasted amazingly good. They’re always understaffed, so service is not so top notch but the servers there always make sure to give their 100% so the customers leave happy and satisfied.

We visited this place for dinner & specifically for bheja masala (brain masala) & nalli nihari. It was one of the best we’ve had in the longest time. The joint is a cozy place and can be visited with family. They’re clean & hygienic. Their parathas were really nice & soft. Amazing service. Will definitely visit again!!! :-)

I recently ordered the Ramadan catering package from them, and I must say it was an absolute delight! The chef/owner assured us that our guests would love the food and inquire about its origins, and he couldn't have been more right. To my wife's surprise, at our all-ladies gathering, nearly 70% of the attendees personally approached her to ask where the food was from. The owner is incredibly humble and cooperative, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend their food, especially for catering events!

The price and the quality is much better than other named restauant in the plaza. Set up cannot handle large audience but great food for small audience or like takeout

I used to visit this place a couple of years ago and recently visited again. It is a compact size restaurant, but the food quality is great with reasonable prices. We ordered the chapli kabab with fresh naan and biryani and no wonder why its famous in local community for its flavor. Both items were fresh and delicious. Enjoyed the flavor as their food is not extra spicy like other restaurants. Their is a saying that making good tasting food without too much spices is an art, and the chef at Shamiana knows that art.Kashmiri chaay after the meal is musical.Vegetarian options: They have many vegetarian options as well.

This place has a proper taste of authentic food whereas silver spoon has no proper taste of any of their item.it’s a mixture of anything.silver spoon must learn how to cook authentic south Asian cuisine.
Their serving of nihari is too less in $13 and naan was separate to order.Too expensive. Their halwa and aloosalan were good and halwa puri platter was still reasonable $7 but nihari too expensive and very less serving.
