It's worth trying out smaller local restaurants like Khayyam. The food was great, the portion of the dishes were more than enough that I took the rest home for dinner. Koobideh would be better with less onions in it. But no complaints. Highly recommend.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Khayyam Persian Restaurant in Newmarket and was absolutely delighted with the experience. The star of the evening was the Khoresh-e-Bademjan, a traditional Persian eggplant stew that was nothing short of incredible.The dish arrived at our table beautifully presented, with the rich, deep colors of the stew immediately catching the eye. The best Persian restaurant! My other favorite Persian restaurants started being really terrible so I’m happy I found this Gem! The rice and saffron on it is magnificent. The kabab and jooje is never undercooked and never overcooked. So juicy and tender. I been here 6 times by now and it’s always 10/10! Please don’t ever change like the other Persian restaurants! I cannot wait to go back! ❤️
