I've always gone to the Portage Rd location. I found its gone completely downhill. I visited the Lundys Lane location, and it's so much better. The food, service and atmosphere is definitely 5 star. This location is very bright and fresh. Although the prices has increased (like everything else in the world), you get more toppings as well. Melissa was amazing! Very knowledgeable with gluten allergies as well. Highly recommend Lundys over Portage!

Cold meat, bland rice. Food was not good. On top of a 25 minute wait to be served. The one worker was fantastic and held down the fort by himself but his coworker just stood there useless.

I had the pleasure of meeting Alyssa today who you can tell has a passion for food, and loves what she does. I order an unlimited topping burrito salad bowl with chicken , everything is so fresh and those sauces I got woaaaah so flavourful, my favourite is definitely the pineapple salsa and fresh cilantro that you can add 10/10 recommended and I will be back! Thank you for the great lunch!Dietary restrictions: So accommodating for dairy and gluten allergies!

Such a shame bc I used to go to the Myer location almost every week. You should update the hours if you guys are going to close 30 minutes earlier than the posted time EVERY NIGHT bc you don’t want to serve customers near close. When I do get in, the prices went up, and the quality of the food has gone down. Such a let down to locals trying to get food after work at 7:30 but get denied service. You guys close at 8!My business will only go to the Myer location from on if anything.Pains me to make this review bc you guys used to be 5 stars. You guys used to be excited to serve customers Everything going down hill.

Have been going to frijoles (both locations) for YEARS. Weekly. Sometimes twice a week. We spent $50-60 each time. Today we went. Disappointing. They have 2 options now for burritos. “Light” and “custom/unlimited”. Which is fine. But it’s always been “unlimited”. They are now charging the same for light as to what was unlimited. Fine. We order unlimited. When asked what we want on them - we ended up with HALF the beans and rice that they have always put on. No joke. Half scoops. (The employees seem to put less when the co-owners are there). You can’t charge more AND give less. As a business: choose one. Charge us the same but give less. Or. Charge more for the same. We get prices are up. But you can’t take more while giving even less. ESP since across the road is your direct competition. Restaurants need to realize: we don’t need them. They need customers and there is no shortage of choices. After literally a decade of going to frijoles weekly we will no longer be a patron. Add on top the co owners attitude on first contact. No wonder they recently said they were struggling (and to maintain employees too…..) Sad.

Best burrito place in Niagara hands down! Thank you Melissa for serving us even though they were about to close. All the ingredients were fresh and the sauces were delicious. I've never been disappointed... I just wish I lived closer!

Lack of quality control, and at this point they are just taking advantage of people. They are banking off of old reviews, especially the other location. This place isn’t what it use to be.I’ve loved Frijoles since they first opened on Portage road. I’ve supported their business a couple times of a month, and when I moved an hour away I loved them so much that I still chose to make the drive every other week. During the pandemic, I supported their business and I chalked it up to that, that they were struggling for various reasons like many were. But it can’t be that anymore, and yesterday was the last frijoles burrito I will ever make the drive to eat again. I first visited the Portage road location, but they have the same guy in there that can’t make a burrito to save his life, so I left and went to the lundys lane location. When I started to order I realized they had upped their prices by controlling how many toppings you can put on your burrito. After paying for extra meat and toppings, I left with a burrito that was the same size as a regular burrito when they first opened. And once again it tasted nothing like it used to, just like many other times it has become a hit and miss, but these last few times it has been just disgusting and this time so salty I couldn’t finish it. Where is the quality control? The burritos are never consistent. The owner claims he makes everything himself then why is there no consistency? Why did I not recognize the burrito I ate as a Frijoles burrito? why did it taste like the meat was bathed in a pot of salt water? I could deal with the price gouging if there was any sense of quality control but the fact that they are increasing their prices while their offerings are lacking, that’s a no for me. In the past 6 burritos just one has been good, at this point I’m the foolish one for believing they care about their customers. So long, Frijoles.
