We've came here not for the first time (actually it's been a while) knowing that this place has really good kebob, well this will be our last time. Service was so-so, too much of waiter's sarcastic humour felt uncomfortable to me, then seemed like he was arrogant. Starters were great but overpriced kebob was a tasteless dried rubber and the funny thing is kebob was served without any sauce or adjika typically served everywhere else but here. Rice was very dry like it's been sitting outside without covering.. home style potatoes was overcooked and dark. I was not planning to leave a review and didn't make any pictures of the dishes, but then again I've evaluated everything while in the car after that I'm not going back here again. Sorry

One server for the whole restaurant 1.5 hours of waiting for the food to get prepared and served tasteless and terrible food I feel I got ripped off ???

Never had any food this region before, and was thoroughly impressed. Through an unsuspecting strip mall in North York you'll find a colourful haven of Central Asian delight. With intricate designs on the ceiling and paintings on the wall, you'll enjoy amazing and generously-sized food with favourites including the Cheburek (fried dumpling) and Ajarsky (cheese/egg bread). Wonderful service meeting the restaurant's owner who is from Azerbaijan and has brought over the region's flavours. Going to Chaihana is the closest you'll get to traveling in Central Asia and it's only a short subway trip from downtown Toronto!

We drive all the way from Montreal to Toronto to eat their delicious food! As someone who comes from the same background, the food is as good (if not better) then what you would get at home. The owners are the sweetest couple ever, and even remembered my birthday and bought a cake when we came back a week later when passing through Toronto on our way home. The food is by far the best food I have ever eaten. Highly recommend all of the soups, mantis and their lamb shashliks, as well as their homemade bread and cheburekis. 10/10 food, and amazing owners. Would recommend to anyone!

Amitié Café is located on the ground floor of an office building next to a criminal courthouse. Their work is efficient and clean. They make good sandwiches and breakfast. During lunch hour, they have bulgogi rice, sushi and salads. They also have daily specials and a large variety of snacks.

If you have never tried Central Asian food, this is restaurant has a lot of traditional dishes from the region. Having been to Central Asia, all of us were wondering if the food would be authentic. We tried baursaki, a small puff bread that was tasty; pumpkin manty, similar to a large dumpling; tandori lepyoshka, a flat round bread that is a stretchier consistency; ispanahi, a bread filled with cheese, spinach and herbs and plov, a fried rice dish that comes with carrots, garlic, spices and the meat of your choice. All of the dishes were good. We especially enjoyed the manty - very flavorful and the plov which we had been craving. Plov can be very greasy and this was oily, but not as oily as some places in Central Asia. The prices are very reasonable and it's the kind of food that you can order and share. The service was friendly and the food was authentic. We find the food from the region to be hearty. If you are looking for very spicy food, or beautifully plated food, this is not common for this type of cuisine. As others have mentioned, there is no sign outside. Go inside the building that looks like a tall office building and the restaurant is just inside on the ground floor.

I wanted to introduce my mum to Central Asian cuisine, so we went here for dinner on Sunday. It is a bit tricky to find, as it is inside the mall at 1000 Finch Ave W with no sign on the outside of the building, but it's obvious once you are inside. The restaurant is very spacious, with two floors. It was busy but not crowded, and we had our pick of seats. The menu features a wide variety of dishes from Central Asia and the Caucasus, as well as Slavic classics such as borscht and varenyky. There are a variety of bottled beers available, and also Georgian wines. We ordered plov, baursak and lepyoshka, with beer and a glass of wine to drink. Service was very good and our orders arrived very quickly. The plov was delicious, very flavourful and with a good amount of meat - the regular size order was more than enough for dinner. The lepyoshka was fresh and tasty, and we got eight baursak in the order (I had assumed that there would be only two). We finished dinner off with a complimentary plate of watermelon, which was a nice touch. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. The decor was cute, with pictures of scenes from the 1001 Nights, and there was a separate area with a dastarkhan for those looking for an authentic experience. The bill was quite reasonable for the amount of food we had. I will definitely come here again when I have a craving for plov.

Good quality if food, reasonable price. Asian food,we tried manty, it tasty and juicy. Giving a 4 star, because it hard to find, no outside sign. If you like a different Asian food (not Chinese or indian), it definitely worth to visit and try.
