The first time I tried Basil Box at a different location, I didn’t like it but thought it was just that location. However, this Basil Box location confirmed that Basil Box in general is just subpar. I’m pretty sure this location used to be the “street food” variant, but it’s no longer like that. I got the spicy eggplant and tofu stir fry and it just wasn’t good. There was 85% rice and the rest was the peppers, tofu and eggplant. The sauce wasn’t great, just unpleasantly spicy. Paying what I did for basically rice and spices doesn’t make me happy. Try to avoid and go to the other more authentic places around this area.pros:- quick servicecons:- Too expensive for what you getoverall rating: 2/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff is on purpose slow down uber order!!! he told me just wait, and the order is just right there. I have to wait him three minutes for him to pass me the order, then after I came out,I got a ticket on my car. You already know your location for Uber is not friendly and why you make hard on us.?

We stopped by here for a quick meal and enjoyed the food. I created a diy box and my friend had a chicken basil box. The DIY Box:The DIY box was really good. I selected a protein (half chicken and half shrimp), a sauce (half Tangy Tamarind, and half Sweet Chili Lime), a base (half spring mix, and half jasmine rice), vegetables (edamame, and roasted water chestnuts & peas) and all the toppings to create a delicious and nutritious dish. The sweet chili lime dressing was tangy, spicy and absolutely delicious. The tamarind dressing was thick, tangy, and sweet; it also had notes that reminded me of a lentil curry soup. I really enjoyed the two flavour combinations. The chicken and shrimp was juicy and tender. I really like how everything was gluten and dairy free. For toppings I tried everything. I choose the super seeds, pickled vegetables (a daikon and carrot blend), fresh herbs, crushed peanuts, siracha pumpkin seeds, Thai chilis (these were really hot), and crispy onions. I loved all the nutrients available in the topping and love how they were all gluten and dairy free. My friend ordered the chicken basil dish and they forgot to add the chicken to his dish. They then made the chicken for him when he brought it to their attention and they offered him a free drink. He said he would give the restaurant 3-stars but I loved my dish and would give them 4-stars. They were very apologetic. It also took them very little time to fix the problem. Will I Return?Absolutely!

I had my own bowl the other day, and the person at the front was very kind and patient with my indecisiveness. He gave me plenty of rice and the right amount of toppings with it (which is always a big plus). Would come back here again!

Got the Zesty steak box. Really well prepared meal. Saee was really sweet and helped me while choosing the box. She even recommended the Thai iced tea which was amazing. Great service overall.

Terrible pad Thai, nothing to do with authentic Thai food. Missing so many ingredients which are supposed to be there. Careless stuff, cashier is a cook in the same time and has no idea what is Thai food.

I love this place. Definitely a gem on Yonge street. I highly recommend removing basil box from the sign because most people think it’s basil box.This..This my friend..Is way better than basil box.

I ordered the food for take out. When I got home to eat it, the dumplings weren’t cooked properly. The chicken pad Thai had no chicken. I have never been so disappointed in the food. What a joke!

Sorry but I much much prefer normal Basil Box haha. The menu is quite extensive with pad thais, fried rices, many variations of poutines, and quite value meal boxes. The descriptions on the menu are not very in depth so not too sure what is in each dish unless you ask the staff. The food took a little longer than expected but overall taste is fresh and decent. They still have their Thai iced tea which is great (my personal favourite). This location also sells wong's ice cream which is a plus!

I visited on Wednesday Oct 12. I decide to visit the finch location that Tuesday , and funny enough the same guy serve me when I visited the Sheppard location. I think his name was Darren or Darywn not so sure. To summarize it, he was fantastic, he was nice and really help me with the menu (for both location). I ordered the Mac and Cheese with beef as he recommended and fries. The mac and cheese was amazing, I couldn't finish it in one go so I ate the rest later that day and it still tasted amazing. I pick the spicy dipping sauce, it was again amazing. The drink fountain was really easy and straight forward to use. Will be coming back here soon
