I had to try this place, mostly because it had such a catchy name that I loved to randomly shout out for no reason (don't knock it till you try it yourself lol). I ordered it for takeout after my workout as I figured it would make a great post workout meal. I ordered the garlic jokbal meal and it came with a bunch of side dishes and a healthy serving of garlic sauce. I love fatty pieces of pork so this dish definitely hit the spot! The garlic sauce is verrrryyy pungent so be sure to use mouth wash after if with a date lol. The pork hock was very tender and was not chewy at all. The sides, especially the kimchi were a great addition.

I've never had bossam before and my partner is not a fan of fatty meats, but we both decided to be adventurous and gave this place a try. We were both delighted by our meal and have a greater appreciation for this popular dish. We ordered the medium regular bossam and our waitress assured us that it was enough for two. It turned out to be more than enough and we had one whole serving to take home for the next day. The bossam comes with a generous dish of pork belly slices and sides of kimchi, garlic slices, jalapenos, marinated onion shreds, salted shrimp, dipping sauce, and mixed salad. You wrap up your choices in a large fresh lettuce leaf and gobble it down. At first, I though it would be very heavy due to the pork belly slices, but it has been cooked so that the the fat is almost meat-like in texture. The lettuce keeps it from being too meat heavy and we didn't even miss the fact that there were no carbs. We really liked our experience and will definitely try more in the future!

They have both indoor and outdoor curbside patio seating. Their bossam had a great flavour and didn't feel too heavy at all! They also gave a lot of lettuce, toppings and sauce which we took advantage of. It was a lot of food. We ordered a medium size and shared between 3 people.

Great place to come for a budget friendly group meal. The service is very good and friendly, the food is delicious. The meat is well prepared and the sides are fresh. The only criticism I have is the short beer menu that is limited to domestic brands. Apart from that it was a great experience!

I really enjoyed the food there, we had the marinated fried pork. Unfortunately, they didn't have half the menu available, so I'd like to go back and try and other food! And the staff was sorry attentive and nice!

Took advantage of their 30% off cash promotion this weekend and order a small regular bossam (pork belly) I was truly impressed with their packaging and the amount of condiments. There was kimchi (mix of radish and nappa), finely shredded onion, green onion, garlic, jalapenos and 4 types of sauces. The lettuce they gave us were super fresh with minimal browning on the edges. The small bossam had approximately 25 pieces and had a good balance of meat and fat. Don't underestimate the amount of meat, my boyfriend and I have pretty big appetites and with a bowl of rice each, we were quite full! We did see a few pieces with a few stubs of pig hair on the skin, which I guess is hard to avoid. Looking forward to try their jokbal (pork hock)!

i ordered spicy pork hock. its super tasty. quantity is good for two people. come with enough fresh sides. consider the price. 40 dollars after tax is a little bit expensive. but they have 30% off if you pay cash so it becomes very reasonable price.again. its really delicious for the spicy flavor. i will come back if the promotion still active.

Love the care and thought that went behind constructing this plate! The jokbal was so perfectly tender and chewy. The spicy jokbal has just the right balance of flavors. The kimchi however was too sweet and needed more of the pungent fish sauce saltiness/savory notes to balance the sweetness from the jokbal marinade. The underwhelming kimchi steals away one star but otherwise this place is great!

I had to check them out after seeing an Instagram promotion of 30% off of you pay by cash. The jokbal bento was tasty but the photos on Instagram had more meat compared to what i got.

The bento boxes come with rice, pork, kimchi, and other pickled veggies with lettuce, soup, and extra garnish. It's a little pricier than other bento box places but you get A LOT of food so it's worth it. My favourite part of this meal was the soup (it was spicy, with sausage and spam bits), it tastes homemade and is just so comforting. They nailed the seasoning and garnishing which not only makes the dish pretty but also makes it taste amazing.
