I’ve been here twice now and the service and atmosphere are great, but the food is mediocre at best. It’s pricey for what you’re getting and I think there’s a lot of places nearby that have better bang for your buck.Also, take the 5 star reviews with a grain of salt because they will give you a free appetizer if you leave a 5 star review.

The restaurant was busy but the staff was hustling to serve everyone. The spicy udon was delicious but the chicken was dry and flavorless. My guest had the shrimp spicy udon which was delicious. The boa buns were overflowing with meat and very tasty.

Another one of my favourite Japanese udon place in the city! For starters I had the octopus wasabi either salmon tartar; 10/10 for both especially the octo wasa! Super flavourful and fresh. Ocean udon is a house recommendation and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is also nicely decorated and definitely a cute date spot for dinners. The server was so kind and answered all the questions about each dish. Will be coming back again!

I stopped in to eat a quick brunch. We had Beef Bao, tempura shrimp, calamari, and sesame cheesecake.Beef Bao was especially good. The beef was juicy, flavorful, and had smoky overtones. Bao was fluffy and tender.Staff was nice and welcoming.Tempura and calamari were also nice.Sesame cheesecake was exactly the right amount of sweet, neither heavy or too rich, all of which enabled the sesame taste to shine through.

Went here during a weekday afternoon for lunch (2 people).We got some tea and nabe (like hotpot). The food was really tasty and I wouldn't mind going back here again, but the service really holds this place back.There were only 2 other people and they had already gotten their food. The wait for the food wasn't long, but the place felt really understaffed. There was only one person working at the front of the restaurant, preparing tables, cleaning, etc. Whenever we needed to call her over, we had to wait a while because of all the other duties she had to complete.The food is a little on the pricey side, but not ridiculous especially considering where the place is located downtown.

My friend and I ordered the weekend combo special. The deal included chicken karaage (Japanese deep fried chicken), tuna tataki (tuna sashimi that’s seared on the outside), and two alcoholic drinks (highball cocktails). We ordered a mango highball and a grapefruit highball (you can choose different flavours from the menu). The chicken karaage was juicy and flavourful, and the mayo was a good dip for the deep fried chicken. The tuna tataki was tasty and melted in your mouth. The weekend combo special was a good deal for two friends. The atmosphere and decor were also pleasant. The staff was nice and helpful. I would dine here again!

Highly recommend this place ?? I visited this restaurant with my friend before our dance class and wanted to have something light but fulfilling! We had a weekend combo special for two of us and were glad for making this choice as it includes two alco drinks (cocktails: mango, grapefruit) and a plate of juicy fried chicken and a plate of so flavourful tuna. I also had edamame which was so fresh ! In addition, I have to say this place is so cute as it’s decorated with umbrellas, so we took bunch of pretty pictures ?
