It was a charming resteraunt. Too bad the owners changed and the new owners just walked out and abandoned it. Could not afford to run a small biz in socialist Toronto that only supports big monopoly corporations that give donations to the government. And no help from the feds with Justinflation. Sadly, this is happening a lot.

We haven't been there since the now owner change. we were so excited to be back again , but let me tell you my friends , things have change UNFORTUNATELY NOT IN A GOOD WAY !!!!!worst experience ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the waitrees guy was clumsy very unprofessional food was cold . Let me put this way ,were didn't get what we pay for so sad !!!!!!!!Not going back ever for sure !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was have a craving for some schnitzel - met a lovely gentleman named Frank, the chef - when I visited there in July of 2022 it was very quiet - the restaurant is somewhat outdated looking and the website has not been updated in a long time, so what I was hoping to buy, they no longer offered - after the pandemic, takeout food has become quite expensive - paid $26 for 2 nice pieces of schnitzel with potatoes and a generous side container of hungarian sauce consisting of vegetables and tomatoes and lovely spices - the food was very delicious

We had not been there due to Covid and since the change of ownership. The gentlemen were great to deal with and very friendly. Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy the food as we did with the prior owner. The schnitzel was good but the portion has gotten smaller and price was higher. The goulash soup was not very good as the beef was not tender nor was there very much of it in the soup. The bathrooms are not in very good shape and although they weren’t great 3 years ago, they have gotten worse. Touching the hand railing is not a good idea as this should be either cleaned or sanded and varnished again. I don’t think we’re going back!!

Wonderful restaurant with pleasant staff and amazing food. Everything is made fresh and the quality is superb. We don't get to go here very often but it's always worth the trip when we do.
Ordered the wooden platter for 2. Great potion sizes, enough for us to have 2 meals each out it, so 4 portions. The cabbage rolls were delicious. Everything else in the platter was unfortunately, underwhelming. Nothing stood out as flavourful. But we had never tried this place or Hungarian food before so we had no expectations. I called in our order for pick up, they were friendly, helpful and the order was placed and picked up quickly.

We were in the neighbourhood for our first place and were almost overwhelmed with the variety of restaurants... until we saw this! We looked up the reviews and decided to give it a try. The food was amazing... the very best cabbage rolls I've ever eaten.. should've asked for the recipe. We order the meat platter (to serve 4). It was a large enough platter that we had almost as much to bring home as we ate! The service was fast and efficient. Robert, the owner (I think) has a great sense of humour and added to our very positive experience!

We were in a neighbourhood we hadn't visited before and had to choose a restaurant ... so many, and hard to decide. Out came our phones and we found good reviews for the restaurant right in front of us! The food was excellent ... best cabbage rolls ever! A very varied menu made choosing fun. The staff was efficient and friendly. We highly recommend this place, for lunch or dinner.

New Owners, who should not be in hospitality. I ask for some ice with my drink took 20 mins to get it after asking 4-5 times. After appetizers, waitresses brought main course rudely asked where will she put the main course. We had to clear our own dishes to make room. Then we never saw her again, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Never cane back asked if we needed water. I brought the pitcher to her and asked to fill it, another 20 mins to get water after asking 3-4 times. I said I am sorry I am a pain in the a*** she said yes you are. The food has gone down hill also. Sadly I wont be back, like many other customers who are not coming back.

This was a fantastic experience! Veal paprikash with dumplings (spetzel?): delicious!...and gigantic! Cabbage rolls w/sauerkraut, Weiner schnitzel w/parsley potatoes, goulash soup, all accompanied with a simple pickled cucumber salad, and apple strudel for dessert. Everything deliciously home made and authentic. It was like visiting someone's home. Eat here, you'll love it!!
