I wouldn't recommend working at that company. They hire you just to take away the shifts they had promised. And then they make you run around for the money that is owed to you as if you owe them something. They do not care about their employees no matter how chatty they are with you. The turn over rate is literally insane. Better off working at Swiss Chalet then working for Fred's Bread.

Anyone planning to work there, please beware of the supervisor Jigna. She is extremely disrespectful, and will get you in trouble just because she doesn’t like you. Rated 2 rather than 1, because everyone else is nice. Still surprised how she still works there.

Fred's Bread speaks for itself in high volumes but my concerns lie in their Employment tactics. I had a training session with them on Sunday September 12, 2021 where I met with a lovely young man whose name is Seran. He kindly asked me to fill out a form before we proceeded in which I did but I didn't think it was allowed anymore to ask for age as is age, colour and creed a form of racialism. I believe wholeheartedly that I didn't get the job because of it. When I phoned to speak to the lady Andrea to thank her for the interview plus credit her company she said I was "Not a good fit"! I have not only had years of experience in really difficult warehouse jobs but this small packaging job was super easy and did not take a Rocket Scientist to perform it. She never even met me or tried to find out who I was as a person and so had nothing to base it on except that I am older and have lots of experience so for these reasons I would never apply there again. I wish her well however in her future endeavours and will find a better place that is far less judgmental.

The sourdough bread ended up being hard. Wasn’t impressed. We tried to follow the instructions and we contacted support but got no answer as to what happened.
