Definitely my new go to spot for Jamaican. The food and service are amazing. Bbq chicken and jerk are to die for! Ask for the cornmeal porridge. Highly recommend. I’ve never left here unsatisfied.
I went to Gold Star for lunch today, I had the curry chicken lunch special, it was fantastic! The vibes in the restaurant were good and the music/ atmosphere was amazing I would recommend this spot to everyone

Authentic Jamaican cooking, homestyle food that will not disappoint. My new number 1 option in North York. I was introduced to Goldstar two weeks ago and I have been back twice since. From the rice and peas are shelly and nice you know the rest of the food is good.

This place is one of those hidden gems. The owner is the loveliest woman. We enjoyed the chicken soup to the point that we ordered another one to go, in a larger size. The jerk chicken was cooked to perfection and you can just tell the food was made with love and the best vibes only. We will definitely be coming back here to try the other dishes. I saw this restaurant had a 4.9 rating so had to run! It did not disappointed! I got the stew chicken with rice and peas. Delicious! I got it with extra gravy too. Sooo yummy!When I went, no one was in the shop so I was a little wary at first. But I was wrong! I’d go back if I’m in the area for sure! Big up!
