Went there on a Friday night to have some cocktails with a buddy. The vibe was good. Everyone orders this one cocktail, I forget the name but it's red and served in a tall mason jar and it looks cool because they set some herbs on fire when they bring it to you. I knocked over my mojito and they brought me a replacement, which was super nice of them. Friendly staff.

food was really mid. my friend and I ordered 2 mains and 3 apps in total.. and only really finished 2 apps. and one of the apps we ordered was supposed to be like a miso yuzu salmon dish... but we literally just got salmon smothered in gochujang...

I've been going to Menami for years as their chicken karaage and udons are very good. However, the service is very mixed. Sometimes the service is really good (depends on who you get as the waiter/waitress) but today the service was terrible! I've seen this waitress several times and she's always rude (so she's definitely not just having a bad day). When we asked to be seated not near the bathroom, she looked pissed. Furthermore in a half empty restaurant she certainly took her time even though we tried getting her attention (I saw her chit chatting to someone at the bar and checking herself out on her phone). The last straw is when she handed us the bill and she stared at the machine as we paid the bill (I think she was checking out how much we tipped her). I've never seen such rude behaviour anywhere else, and I'm usually easygoing. Obviously, she didn't get a good tip.

Tempera Udon with half a container of noodles, one shrimp, and two pieces of vegetables for over $20 after taxes. What a RIP OFF.

This place is amazing!! I went there for the first time recently and it was absolutely delicious! As soon as we walked in the atmosphere already looked so cozy and the waiter helped us switch tables with ease because we didn't like the initial spot. I also have dietary restriction and cannot eat pork, so the waiter made sure to clarify what had pork in it and made changes to an item that I wanted accordingly as well. The food was also absolutely delicious it came looking just like the pictures in the menu if not better, and the online menu was really easy to use. Definitely recommend coming here because this place is a must visit if you want some great food and atmosphere!

Small, cozy restaurant with great food. Nice little bar with seating as well. There was no real wait for getting a table when I went (around 9pm on a Friday night), and the food was delicious. Service was quick and very friendly.Very close to transit (about a 3 minute walk from finch station), and has parking lots / street parking nearby.

Service was terrible. We were approached the first time by our server and we were still deciding what to order. She came once more to give us our drinks and then we never saw her again. When we tried to pay, we couldn’t find our server or someone to pay. Safe to say we won’t be coming back. It’s sad because the atmosphere was great.

Best cocktails!! Haven’t really tried their food other than the apps… the service was a bit slow but there were only 2 people covering the whole restaurant on a Friday

the potato cream udon was actually really good ! i thought it would have a weird artificial texture to it or like a weird whipped cream texture but the texture was literally just mashed potatoes but lighter. i really liked the curry taste too because it still had spice to it. some curry udon barely have the actual curry taste to it so this was pretty shocking! the beef tataki was also really good and the takoyaki was good too. i don't have much complaints about the food. it was a good experience trying it and the udon is flavourful. i kinda did wish there was more of the minced beef in it bc i barely got any.*put two of the same dishes together to show you what it looks like in two diff lighting hehe*

Winterlicious 2024 was really yummy! Great service and the inside vibes were nice. If you want nice pictures, they provide small table lamps too :

Portions were tiny, and not good value. Taste-wise, it was just okay. I personally used to really like this place, but now they’ve just gotten stingy. The cups and cutlery provided were also dirty and we had to ask twice to get new ones. They charged an 18% gratuity for a party of 5, even though it was initially told to us that it would be for parties of 6 and up. I could get much better value at Raku or Manpuku. Won’t be coming back.

It was our first time coming to this restaurant. We took advantage of Winterlicious and decided to give this place a try.We were all very happy with our food choices. All dishes were delicious. Nothing negative to comment on this place. Give it a try, especially during Winterlicious at $27 - 3 course lunch. Two thumbs up.
