In this place, the staff is very rude to foreigners, I am Mexican and I went with a group of friends and I really don't know what these Filipinos believe? the customer service was really very bad, and on the bills they wanted to charge food that we didn't order, we had to talk to the manager.

The food was amazingly good and fresh, especially the broth of the lomi, as well as the service. The service was quick since it wasn't busy during the day. The food tastes just like home.- It's unfortunate that there's no halo-halo, as my boyfriend and I were really looking forward to having some.

Worst customer service in any filipino restaurant that Ive been through here in GTA, but not gonna lie foods are quite good. Just want to mention that they used broken plate and they served a cold and dry pork isaw lmao?I dont know if those server has a problem coz they are look so problematic lol, seems like they dont wanna serve

I’ve recently dined here and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and cozy. The service was impeccable. The server was attentive without being intrusive, and they were knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent recommendations. As for the food, it was outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and it was evident that careful attention was paid to every detail. I particularly enjoyed the LOMI, which was a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Overall, my experience in Republika was exceptional, and I can't wait to return soon with my friends. I love eating while listening to the band. ❤️
Horrible experience with the host. Came with my cousins (party of 5) of which all are Filipino background but we're made to feel "unwelcomed" and dissed by this host. Poor customer service skills and rude. Waited in outside after informing the host how many were with me. Can see inside the restaurant and noticed a few empty tables that could accommodate us. A few parties came after us and were able to get seated before us. After waiting about 20 minutes, I mentioned this to the host and he didn't bother to respond. Just an attitude. Waited another 5-10 minutes because my cousin was eager to try the sisig. We finally had enough and left after another group came and was allowed to go in before us. And no, they did not have reservations. Very very disappointing and upsetting...the place, should not be prejudice to ones background but it seems that is the case here

I ordered to try their sarabasab because someone recommended it to me and said it was delicious. I am very disappointed. I have ordered from others, but here it is so bad that I can only count the meat that was given, almost all of it is already fat. Are you hungry waiting for your order, disappointed? This is my last order here.

This is a restaurant fairly well known in my community so it’s a shame for me to have to leave such a poor review. I had come here last Saturday with my family and while the food here is pretty good the service is not. The staff were very cold and unwelcoming, in fact we weren’t even let inside the restaurant. We sat on the patio, where our waitress served us with apathy, waiting for our turn to be seated inside. However our turn probably would have never come had I not followed up about it multiple times, to which the man guarding the host stand ultimately responded with what was just short of pretty much refusing us entry for no reason. Unbelievable.

I dont usually write reviews this dramatic but the host man that stands at the door and organizing the waitlist and taking names down is with out a doubt one of the most unprofessional and rudest individuals i have seen in this city. It is unfortunate given how good the food was. On the 23rd around 9pm I had come here with some friends and we had put our names down and sat on the patio ordered food and once it was time for us to go in this ill mannered host proceeded to be extremely rude and perverse to our friend group. In the restaurant one can see children of all ages with adult supervision but according to him you cannot enter the restaurant if you are a minor, when one of my acquaintances did not have his ID(during his previous visits he never needed one) he proceeded to deny entry with no explanation as this is a family friendly restaurant to our knowledge. If he is correct then i admit ignorance to that fact but we saw multiple children of all ages ranging from babies and toddlers to young teens if this host is correct this restaurant is extremely careless and putting children in danger and should be investigated for such matters.
