Sozo is truely a hidden gem! Food is so good with sushi being of a comparable quality to good sushi in my native Vancouver. The servers are friendly and the prices are fair. Also lots of parking which they reimburse.

Went for lunch around 1pm, there was no one in the restaurant except us. However, the waitress greeted us nicely and even told us we can sit at a bigger table. We ordered the bento boxes and they were AMAZING! For that price, the food was fresh and delicious! I definitely recommend anyone who wants Japanese cuisine in that area to give it a try!

Parking is a bit difficult. Sushi is nothing special. Ramen is okay. The rice dons use something similar to sushi rice so if you like that. The unique dishes are a lot better than the regular ones and the quality of the ingredients carry the dishes a lot.

Haven't visited Sozo for years so was excited to revisit. Sushi was still good quality. The gyudon was nice and tasty although the beef portion was on the smaller side (not a good ratio with the rice). The ramen was on the disappointing side. The chashu and noodles were delicious but the broth was bland (though creamy) and the egg was not the proper ramen egg (just plain soft boiled).

Vegetarian options: Came in on a rainy evening for the black garlic vegetarian ramen. Very delicious, fresh and satisfying. The staff were also very kind. I’ll definitely be back.

The food was delicious, This place is so clean and the server was great.
We went here for a birthday dinner and really loved the experience. Parking was paid for by the restaurant, atmosphere was nice, the food was delicious! At the end of the night I mentioned to the staff that there was a birthday and they brought out ice cream, a nice touch. No complaints, we were really satisfied!

Been here for dine-in and takeout. Really good quality sushi that just seems to melt in your mouth. Prices may seem a bit higher compared to other sushi places, but the fish quality is better. I had the sushi/sashimi platter this time along with a rainbow roll and green dragon roll. Took them about 45 minutes to prepare, not bad. Dine-in offer includes $1 dishes if you spend $50. Menu has been revamped recently, with both English and Chinese descriptions. One of the waitresses speak Cantonese.

My husband and I came to this hidden gem to try their ramen and it did not disappoint! I had the chicken ramen with the spicy red miso soup base. The spice level is not too high, just a nice flavor. Our server was very polite, attentive and courteous. The place has a nice atmosphere (it’s cheapened a bit by paper posters taped to the wall) and pretty light fixtures. The bathroom was clean and the service was timely. Will definitely come back to this restaurant.Parking: Green P parking available on the street, free after 6:00. The restaurant also validates parking for up to 4 hours for the underground parking garage under the building.
