They charge 20% service fee for 4 people or more. No water was given and they have a tablet which is basically self service. Why am I tipping 20% when I ordered everything without any service. The guy working had a rough attitude and this is the worse the fry I been too. The one at bloor and Bathurst is much better! Food was decent but service needs huge improvement

I love The fry. They have a lot of flavours for chicken and various side menu. Best Korean fried chicken in North York!
We visited for lunch. There was just one waitress. She well received by the requirements we want, and extremly friendly. We ordered half-and-half chicken, and it was so much that two people couldn't eat it all. I understood why the price is high. We're going to visit again next time!

Wanted to try the Korean fried chicken but ended ordering something else, rice cake, was delicious just a but spicy for me the more I ate it the more I wanted though, will definitely visit again to try the fried chicken, service was okay, they could do better, I know it's self ordering but they can take the time to ask how or if you need something which she didn't.
I would have given them zero if I could.Big issues:1- Very unwelcoming vibe from the one and only hostess2- Hostess was rude, aggressive and was not able to communicate properly3- Hostess didn’t ask how many were in our group and didn’t offer us a big table and failed to explain the reason for that - there were reservation signs on the bigger tables but they provide those when the group is 5-6, however she never explained that to us. She initially wanted to sit us at the table by the front counter, but we had a 5-year old kid with us and the speaker was above our head with loud music4- The entire area at the back smelled like sewage from the washrooms5-Food was mediocre (we had dumplings) and it didn’t taste fresh6- She sat us in the front corner right by the entrance door. When our entire crew got there and we already ordered a few items, she came in a super rude manner saying that there is a service charge for a ground of 5 or more!!! This is news to us as during the past 25 years of us living here I never heard such a thing. She wasn’t even able to explain what that charge was for.7- I told my family to have the bill settled and leave. We had all the intention to order more and return again but we won’t and will spread the word within our network. There is no place for rudeness in food/customer service industry. I have been to so many Korean places and was always treated nicely. We are so disappointed in the treatment but hey we learned our lesson and won’t return.8- Also we paid in cash and the aggressive hostess didn’t give us 10% back as advertised

The Fry is a sleek restaurant that offers tasty Korean Fried Chicken. On first glance, the restaurant is clean and offers a seemingly convenient method of ordering through their table built in ordering devices. The chicken here is delicious with numerous flavours all at a very affordable price. Alongside the chicken, the fries are nice and the Corn was an absolute delight as a supplement for our meal.While the machines are probably efficient for service them, they lack in detail. Orders didn’t specify quantity and our party purchased too much. (didn’t specify serving size). Also, service seemed understaffed where even upon requesting for help, it was hard to communicate because they were providing help elsewhere.
