For our family who does take out sushi nights every other week, we were quiet shocked. The sushi rice on the whole tray we ordered was rancid. Awful moldy aftertaste. Sad since the reviews for this spot seem fine.

Only 2 tables including me. I have the hot sake and gyoza. The quality is a average, not outstanding. 2 waitresses and no service at all. 1 was even lying down on the chairs to watch tv.If you are living close, no harm to try. If you are not living in this area, no need to come.

Been here a few times now for lunch box and dinner, too. The service is really nice - the staff here are kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is a little dark and outdated, but still ok. I think the food quality here is lacking a little but the value is alright. The fish didn't taste super fresh, but it wasn't bad. I think they could do better with rolling the maki because a few times, mine just came apart as I tried to pick them up. It's an ok spot. I'd come here if I'm looking for a quick, convenient bite at a decent price.

As I travel to new Japanese restaurants, I look for a few things. Washroom cleanliness, food temperature, etc. I was surprised the rice at the bottom was fresh and warm, generous 1/4 avocado, but lacked octopus and sama. Tea could be hotter. But was great overall.

Bad experience and would never come here again. Came with our reservation of 24 guests and there was only 1 waitress and 1 chef. Food took forever and was rushed. My aunts had to get up and bring the cutlery, water, and wait our food. Really disgusted by this experience and would never recommend to a friend.

Same management and chef of Akane Sushi near Highway 7 and Bayview Avenue years ago. Food and menu are almost identical to Akane Sushi. The restaurant has lots of room to accommodate larger parties.
