This staff went above and beyond to accomodate our gluten free diet. They adjusted the menu, adding fruit to an omlette plate. The cooks were happy to adjust their cooking methods to ensure no cross contamination. (Kitchen, and washroom was spotless) AND the coffee was great!

They removed the sign so it's confusing as the sign now says Machu Picchu not "50's Diner". The breakfast portions are smaller, toast is not toasted, cheap on the home fries compared to last year when I ordered the breakfast. It appears to be new owners. However the female who gave me my take out was friendly.

This place was average at best and the service was good. Nothing special on the breakfast menu, so I tried the Peruvian Breakfast. The eggs were overdone and dry, the potatoes had no seasoning. They have a nice home made hot sauce, which I desperately needed because the food was rather bland. $5 for a side of bacon but the main is $11 ? Interesting math. The waitresses were really friendly, the food was just below average. It was surprising to see only a few people there on a Saturday morning.

I don’t know how this place stays in business as the owner is miserable and not interested in hospice good service! Given it many chances but our family will vote with our feet and go elsewhere. A long time ago it used to be good but not anymore! I got charged $2.50 for hot water! The memorabilia is only good thing.

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered a hot chicken sandwich with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were like soup and the gravy on the sandwich was almost black. I took a bite just to see if it was maybe looking weird and would taste great. Absolutely not. The gravy is definitely burnt. Chicken gravy should be a pale light brown. ? Uber wouldn't refund my order. So I paid $31 for inedible food.Definitely avoid.

We were headed to Machu Picchu and discovered that they took over this diner and kept the menu while adding their own. We ordered from both menus. From the diner menu I had the smoked meat cabbage soup which was so yummy. It seemed like a homemade family recipe filled with veg and meat. My friend had the pork sandwich which she absolutely loved. See my review on Machu Picchu menu items on their Yelp page. (Spoilers: it was excellent) It was very sweet to be in the old diner. It's immaculately clean despite the construction on the other side. The construction looks to be about 90% complete. The service was quite attentive. All the good came out quickly and was clearly prepared to order.

The food was full of flavour, I ordered the Lomito Saltado which was a meat dish served with rice and fries along with the ceviche de pescado which was a fish dish packed with flavour cooked in lime. Our server hector was very polite and friendly and provided great service and stories.

Treble experience. We went on Sunday around 10 am. We waited for over 30 minutes for food. Lots of waiters, but they don't have any experience. I asked for ham they brought me bacon. My gf vegetarian asked for no meat in the omelet they mixed it with meat. That's all after asking many times about our order.Overall this place doesn't care about customers n quality service stay away from this place.Vegetarian options: They mixed meat in a vegy order

Took almost an hour to get our meals and there was only a couple of people in the restaurant- so not sure why everything took so long. Staff don’t really care and everything is pretty much a burden to them. I’d go somewhere where eggs and toast don’t take an hour to prepare. Terrible!
