First off, the latte was great, the food was mediocre and the service at the counter was good as well. However, the behaviour of the owner/manager turned us off a bit. We spent about $40 on food and drink and he approached us in a rather unpleasant way to tell us that we weren’t allowed to bring water in and we had to buy it from the cafe. We had water bottles with us because we literally bring water everywhere… I get outside drinks or food from other stores, but water??? Seems a little bit ridiculous.

I went to this cafe for the first time. The staff, Jane and lily were incredibly helpful. Suggested great drinks (passion fruit lemonade) it was super great especially given the weather. Great place to study with friends :)

I recently visited Figaro Coffee House and was pleasantly impressed. The cozy atmosphere combined with friendly staff made for a delightful experience. The coffee was rich and flavorful. Additionally, they offer a selection of fine wines and a tempting cheese board for those looking for something beyond coffee. The live music on Fridays added a charming touch to the ambiance. I'll definitely be returning for more caffeine fixes and to explore their other offerings!Zhanna

Poor service:• The staff were all a bit snooty and unfriendly when taking our order.• My friend had brought in his coffee cup from another coffee shop, and the waiter rudely told him to get rid of it.Satisfactory Food:• We ate a croissant - it was flaky and dry, however still pretty good.Excellent Atmosphere:• The venue itself is clean, spacious, yet cozy.

Had a wonderful experience at Figaros. The food and atmosphere were top notch. Dyanne Dumas and her jazz trio was the cherry on top of a most entertaining evening. Will definitely go again.

My partner and I came here for the first time. We ordered 2 lattes and a muffin for $17. The reason for my low rating, while the cafe it’s self was very pretty, the iced latte I received was absolutely filled with ice, I had maybe about 4 sips of coffee before it was finished. There was absolutely no need to fill up the entire cup with ice; which is obviously so they use less of their product, however I paid extra for oat milk and barely received that. The muffin we got was also pretty dry. Not too impressed, probably wouldn’t come back.

We stumbled upon Figaro Coffee House during one of our leisurely walks in downtown Oakville, and what a delightful find it was! The coffee was truly exceptional, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food options as well. It's definitely a great cafe to choose for a cozy atmosphere and delicious treats. Plus, its perfect location adds to its charm, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing break. We tried the chicken wraps, and they were absolutely delicious! And the choco chips cookie was good.
Recommended dishes: Falafel Wrap, Avocado Toast, Latte and Croissant Ham and Cheese Croissant

The other reviews are strong for this cafe so my experience leaves me puzzled. A few of the newer reviews are saying this place is going down which makes me think it must be under new owners or management? The decor is nice when you walk in but the other newer reviews seem to be correct.The pastry I bought was stale which isn't the end of the world. The biggest issue was that I politely asked if they could turn down the music slightly and owner refused (not explanation just said no). They were running house/dance music at 3 pm in the afternoon with barely anybody in the cafe. Just didn't make a lot of sense for a cafe in the middle of the day. It was loud enough that my noise cancelling headphones couldn't cancel out the music either. Very strange.Finally, I'm a dog person but it wasn't helpful when a rather large dog came in and it's owner could not keep the dog from yelping or barking. So people should be aware of this, dogs are allowed inside and may affect the atmosphere.Overall, as nice as the decor was, the atmosphere makes this cafe difficult to recommend.

Figaro is right amidst Oakville downtown area, very close to the Lakeshore. Quiet n well setup place for a coffee and quick bite. Those wanting to spend more time also will find this place good.
