I must say that service was 100% fantastic. Food was amazing. We had 2 different types of steak from different countries and the cut of meat was amazing (that has been a issue, lately in many other upscale restaurants) and even the sides were really tasty. The whole experience was great and we will definitely go back.

Oliver's Steakhouse is one of the best steakhouses I've ever been to! It is very expensive but well worth the price. The staff is absolutely incredible, probably the best service I have ever had at any restaurant. Highly recommended!

We don't often dine “upscale”, but glad we picked this place for our anniversary. For the cost, the food was absolutely worth it. Two of the best meals we've ever had, and the staff was kind and attentive.

Had my wedding lunch here and a 60th birthday dinner two weeks later. I was over the moon excited to come here twice in one month. The service is outstanding. It’s pricey, but worth a splurge for a special occasion. Can’t wait to come again.

A totally different experience this time. The waiter was very cute and helpful but the meal was unpleasant. I didn't like my beef Wellington. We got a large portion of lobster gnocchi but the presentation was not as good as last time we had it .The food is delicious, but the waiter at the door is very bad. The elderly servant at our table is very gentleman. The steak is my favorite. My brother said that it has its own advantages with KEG.

Once again, I hosted a dinner at Oliver's. The staff at Oliver's are some of the most professional staff's that I have dealt with. They make a great selection of drinks, wine, and food. Service is always first class, and the food is simply outrageous. Will return next time I'm in Oakland.

This is the second time I have been at Oliver's and we loved it...is such a wonderful restaurant to go for a special occasion. The atmosphere is just wonderful, live piano music, outstanding service and amazing food. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

My sister booked us a table at Olivers for the 5th of January, for my birthday. It also happened to be the night my husband and I were flying back to the UK, so we were dressed for comfort rather than for a gourmet dinner experience, which honestly made me rather uncomfortable. Initially we were the only ones in the restaurant and I felt like we stood out like a sore thumb, but by the time our starters came another table had been seated and they were dressed more casually than even we were, so maybe it isn't such a big deal. The menu is expensive, not far under $1000.00 for four people including the gratuity, but the food was amazing! Sadly I didn't take any pictures, but really wish I had. There were four of us in our party & we had starters and mains. Before our starters were delivered we were served a selection of olives, chili feta cheese and 4 of the most amazing bread rolls I have ever tasted. I honestly could have just had those with butter for dinner and would have been very happy! 2 of us started with the caesar salad, which was lovely but I felt it was over dressed & was very rich, the other two had the lobster bisque and the scallops which were both reported to be incredibly delicious. For mains we had Surf & turf, Risotto, the Wagu meatballs and the PEI 8oz sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes. The mains were incredibly tasteful, my steak was cooked to a perfect medium & the garlic mashed potatoes were so nice! My husband gave me a taste of his wagu meatballs and they were so good. At the end of our meal we were served a chocolate mousse cake which was decorated with flower petals and flecks of gold leaf and a lit candle, and I was wished happy birthday, which was lovely. The portion sizes are on the bigger side of generous, and the white glove service was lovely, the waitstaff are very attentive and friendly, but the lighting really let it down. We struggled to read the menus (and prices) and when the bill came we couldn't read how much we owed because it was too dark, my husband had to put the bill over the table light in order to read it.Overall it was a wonderful experience, and that is saying a lot coming from someone who worked in 5* hotels for 25 years, a large portion of this in the food and beverage departments. The food is definitely the star of the show & we will definitely go back when next in Canada, but for the mere mortals with normal jobs this was definitely a "save hard for" experience.
