I happened to be in Orillia today and had an urge for Jerk Chicken. I did a Google search and found The Shack. I decided to try and was recommended that I try the Jerk Chicken and Ribs. I won't bash you but only say this. You can do better! The Jerk Chicken was black but no kick to it... The ribs. We're a bit rubbery and way too much Sauce. Cornbread was good.I may try again with the Jerk Pork and am hoping it has some proper kick to it

I have to start off by saying it is the worst imitation or depiction of Jamaican food ever. I actually went there just for the support and boy was I disappointed. The food is very over price. For $25 you get a dry quarter chicken, rice and peas ( with out the beans, like the beans forgot the assignment) and some type of garbage mac and cheese. I would not recommend this place at all. The owner should be ashamed of himself for feeding people this type of food .

This was our first time trying The Shack and not the last!! We wanted a bit of everything to try. We got the ribs, smoked beef, pizza, jerk prok, mac & cheese, cornbread and riblets. They were all amazing and the owner was super friendly. The hot sauce was HOT but had lots of flavour. Can't wait to try other items on the menu!!

Worst take out experience ever! Mac and cheese had no flavour. Meat was tough and covered in fat. When we called to order they had hardly anything available on their menu we ended up just getting whatever he said he could serve us. We asked for roasted potatoes he said yes and then didn’t get any in both orders. Paid $70 for horrible food that made us sick when we got home. Price for the protein plate on their menu is 23.99 we ordered 2 and paid $70 even… not sure how that adds up. The place is filthy. Not sure how this place is still open. Won’t be returning.

Ohmygosh. First bite into the pulled pork sandwich and I knew I found a great spot. Bun is store bought but the pork was full of savoury flavour. The guy I talked to has a lot of passion which is clearly reflected in his food. Speaking of: 10/10 customer service. Extremely helpful and friendly. Cost was reasonable too (especially for the times). I'm excited to see what this place turns into.

Went in on my way home Sunday as I see this place all the time and finally had time to try it. Honestly, there's a lot of potential but this was probably one of the worst meals I've ever had. The bun was just store-bought and not good. The pulled pork was meh, but definitely was sitting in the sauce(which tasted funny) for way too long. The coleslaw I saw him pull it out of a bag and scrape dressing on top. That is not coleslaw and not what I paid for. I honestly wouldn't be as upset if it wasn't expensive but $22 for a sandwich and some cabbage out of the bag is infuriating!! No effort is put into the establishment, just look at how the outside and inside are kept... yikes.
