As a boomer from the late 50’s this was the best Lamb Korma in a roti I ever had. The spice was just perfect and the flavour is out of this world and it also arrived hot.I must try something new next time. Thanks again Chef

This is our second time here for dine in lunch. Small place, with some random seats and a TV that shows the inside of the restaurant- which was strange. It was empty so a bit worried but we went ahead and ordered paneer over rice and vindaloo chicken roti. We sat down and waited for our food which took some time but = that they cooked to order. Portion size was massive, had to take both dishes home because we couldn't finish. My wife liked her dish, had the perfect spice level (level 4). My vindaloo chicken was amazing (level 6)...it was steaming temperature hot but also super spicy. I could not stop eating it.. tons of chicken and the cloves and spices that I bit into added punches of flavour. Amazing place, next time we will just order other dishes and see if they are as good.Service was super nice and friendly!

Awful place, grotty inside, food terrible. Went with family, wasn't in the mood for anything spicy so ordered a korma and was asked how spicy I want it??? It's a korma!!! It's not meant to be spicy!!! We all asked for mild meals (can't remember what everyone else got) if that was mild I'd hate to taste the spicy version, all heat and no taste, if you want an Indian meal I suggest you go somewhere where the chef knows how to cook!!!! Informed staff that my cousin is gluten free, they assured us that wasn't a problem, cousin was ill the next day!!! Terrible place!!!!! Glad I live 3500 miles awayDietary restrictions: AVOID!!!!!!!! they haven't a clue and just tell you what you want to hear

I honestly don’t know how to encapsulate the times I’ve enjoyed a meal here. I’ve done chicken biryani with garlic roti twice, splitting with a friend each time. The price is crazy reasonable for what you get, and service is always friendly and quick. I’m looking forward to trying a chickpea curry soon.A good example of the quality of food and service is, each time I’ve gone, someone will apologize profusely, because to make the (fresh!) roti, they have to wait a minute to make sure the cooking plate is good and hot. Gasp! How dare I be served delicious, hot, and fresh bread, haha.EDIT: just to be completely clear, I couldn’t have been happier with my visits to 9 Spices so far. The food is always served hot and fresh, and it’s always delicious. The service is quick and very friendly too.Parking: During this 2023 holiday period Oshawa is offering free parking for certain stretches. Can’t remember off hand right now, but I think parking is free at some point during the weekend.
