The service was great but can’t say the same about the food. Unfortunately, the coco bread was way too salty with my beef patty. Took away from the classic Allwyn’s original beef patty experience. Ordered some jerk pork with rice and peas with oxtail gravy. The rice and coleslaw were decent, the jerk pork was dry and salty.

I'm giving them 5 stars because the owner is a very nice gentleman, and met him during my visit, so I don't want to negatively impact their score, but the jerk is why I went in, and it was alright, definitely not 5 stars. Wish it was a little more spicy, maybe if it had some gravy, but it was dry. Even when I asked for some gravy, the Asian male worker putting together the food watched me like I committed a crime. I wish the owner was there to see, but he went to the back. Which is nuts, because the lady taking orders is very nice, and she even asked if I wanted oxtail gravy, which I said yes. I mean I understand the environment in Oshawa you're trying to attend to, but when your ppl come in, maybe understand we want the real taste, and not the basic standard, and try to accommodate? How much would it put you out for a little more gravy or offer some pepper sauce? Now, I don't know if I'd go back, which sucks, cause I was hoping this place would be it for jerk in Oshawa, as a man from Malvern who knows Alwyns from small. Don't let your staff mess up your brand.

Love this location. They always take care of me when I order. I usually order the same thing when I go , fried chicken in a large . Rice and peas, gravy on the rice, coleslaw , salsa, corn & fried chicken , gravy on top. Chefs Kiss. Big up to Chef Richard.If chicken is out, he'll fry u fresh batch if u can spare 10 mins or so.Their jerk pork & jerk chicken sandwiches are good also. I like coleslaw and salsa in mine but that's just me lol .Give them a try, it doesnt hurt to try something new. Service is good. Their workers are nice and friendly.
I’m from Mississauga and I was passing by this place and got the Supreme jerk chicken sandwich that comes stuffed with Paty and jerk chicken, also got coleslaw inside. 10/10 it was amazing!full of flavour!! was so delicious,definitely coming back to this place ??

Wow!!! After leaving a very terrible experience just down the way on Ritson where we actually walked out of the establishment without even ordering ; we decided to try this place out and they did not dissapoint !!!! Amazing customer service, amazing mouth watering curry goat (also large portion!) and great pricing . I am very happy to come here and give the much deserved 5* ! Some people truly know how to run a food establishment and these people are one . We will be back!

I’m a Caribbean girlie and a jerk lover so always looking for new Caribbean food joints. Today was my first day trying this restaurant. The food was great value, I got the Friday/Saturday jerk special, but I’ve never tasted chicken so salty in my life. I called to let the chef know as I figured it might have been an oversight today, but he said that they make it the same everyday and they don’t put salt in the jerk. Make it make sense… I love salt so for me to complain about chicken being salty, says a lot.

I have gotten food from here only through Uber and plan to visit in person. But so far the jerk pork and chicken Is delicious. They don't have oxtail or fish. But for the basics they have creative options that will stuff your belly. ?
