The Donairs have always been delicious here.But I wanted to give a review based more on service.The girl behind the desk is always so nice, and genuinely happy. It's a breath of fresh air. From female to female, I appreciate this. I just sat there and ate my food because I wanted to be around someone like this today.

Love this place!Down East Donairs for the win. Brought a couple of Donairs home for lunch.They are authentic and very tasty. A great treat and affordable. Like $9 for the large size pictured and loaded with meat and veggies.Perfect with both hot/sweet sauce like we get them..It's definitely worth stopping in. The owners are very nice.

I recently moved to Nova Scotia and surprisingly i say with sadness in my voice I yet to find a donair that's comparable to yours, miles apart in more than 1 way . Here where the donair originated, I'm ready to give up looking because I can't handle the disappointment. I do say tho that the pizza here is f amazing thank the pizza god's for that at least.

Strangely, it’s hard to find a “true” donair in the GTA. Lots of Shwarma and Gyros, but no Donair’s. This hidden gem satisfies that craving. Just donair meat, lettuce, tomato, onions and the best donair sauce this side of Halifax. Exactly as as should be. 10 out of 10.
I have been coming here since they had a location in Oshawa. My buddy and I would roll up, park outside on the street and go in and eat late at night. Then we’d finish there and go eat more at Smoke’s Poutine…before they went downhill.The donairs at Down East Donair are simply the best I’ve ever had. The meat is cut off a spit, fried and then mixed with lettuce, onions, cheese and tomatoes if you want. Hot sauce too and of course donair sauce. And then all put onto a warm soft pita and folded.It is simply the best. Shane the owner has become like a friend and always remembers me when I come in.Sadly because they aren’t open til 4am like they used to it’s harder for me to get out during their business hours.But I’ve managed twice since mid December.I can’t wait til my next one!

Me and my wife have been going to this place for a number of years and it has never disappointed. Knowledgable staff (taught me correctly that it was Greek man you invented the Halifax Donair I had heard it was Lebanese through word of mouth), engaging with customers and worked in a caring, diligent and quick manner. Above and beyond for the customer. I would thank the employee with their name but I never asked just hope when you go its the same person. The atmosphere isn't great but that is the point it is cheap, quick and fast food and they deliver on that. Honestly they focus on the food and customer service and I was very satisfied with my visit. Thank You for that down home hospitality My mom is an Islander(PEI).
