This is our 1st visit to Garthy, it's a wonderful restaurant. BTW it's a Halal restaurant. We ordered the chicken & veg samosas it had an excellent taste, especially the chicken one! The chicken roll was quite amazing! Not gonna forget the chicken kothu parrota, it was the best of all!

Food is delicious but, there always seems to be an issue when I visit hence the time I took for this teview. So for example I went in today, I ordered a few things for take out that was ready to go. When I got home, there were missing items they didn't pack. I paid for everything but didn't get everything. Beware of the honesty level here!

Their food was really good and true to sri lankan taste. Plus the short eats (savory snack) where good as well. The price is reasonable compared to alot of other sri lankan restaurants. So all in all ?
I ordered alot of food, everything was amazing including vadai,samosas,fish cutlets just taste homemade . It's feels going back again to this store. All the food was fantastic. Good customer service and a clean place. ?

I love the chicken kothu roti here. it's been my go to place for it since I moved away from Scarborough. opened til 10! service is great, lady always has a smile on her face. made fresh so there will be a small wait.Love the kothu roti every time. I would recommend that over the butter chicken and side dishes. spring rolls and samosas are just okay. mutton roll is pretty good!

Just happened to be in Whitby and searching for Indian takeout places.Came across Garthy and decided to try it.Was surprised at their menu and prices as it was very nominal given the inflation.Ordered for the mutton Kotu roti and boy was it amazing. The quantity was also a lot as I could have it for 2 meals.South Indians/ Sri Lankans try this place out as it will make you feel closer to home. Others should also try it as their food is definitely good. Warning their food is a bit spicy, not suitable for people with a sensitive inner lining.Not a lot of place to sit and eat, it's a small restaurant with about 3 tables only. More for takeouts.
Food and service are fantastic. Been there for the 1st time. No idea what to choose from the menu. People there greeted and helped pick my food. Had chicken and mutton kothu paratha. They served hot and fresh. Both are really good. I liked chicken kothu paratha more. Will visit often and I recommend this place.
