We love coming to Tehano's and have enjoyed a quite a few meals there! Being South African and having travelled to Zimbabwe many times, Tehano's always feels like a piece of home. The warm hospitality and tasty food delights our whole family. Temba and Noma are doing a beautiful thing here in the Durham Region. And then bonus we also get to buy boerewors, and many South African or Zimbabwean staples and treats!!! Thank you!

I can honestly say I have tried every item on their menu, and even some things not on the menu. I have never been disappointed. Their homemade burgers are always fresh, juicy, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Their chicken souvlaki is one of my favourite dishes— the fresh home made tzatziki is super refreshing. The peri peri chicken wrap is amazing. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the borwors burger with the sweet chutney. Milkshakes are really addicting, especially since you can mix any flavours you want.The owners are probably the nicest people in town, and will accommodate any requests you may have. The restaurant is always immaculately cleaned, and everything tidy. Toppings are always fresh— the owners are often chopping fresh veggies or washing lettuce when I stop in for lunch.If you’re in Oshawa, definitely check this place out. The South African flare to Americanized food isn’t something you come across often, but it definitely works!

I drove from Toronto with my wife and daughter to get food here and trust me when I say that this place has the best customer care and the most delicious food in the whole Ontario at a best price...and oh God don’t make me start on how clean they are..it’s a 5 star for me ?
Kipps Flaming grill was much better than this restaurant. The burger was extremely hard to eat and just not tasty. Staff are very nice though.

Everything on the menu is SO GOOD. I've tried the burger, veggie burger, oxtail, sausage and short ribs it's all SOOO GOOD. My favorite are the short ribs. The rice it comes with is so good too. The portion sizes are really generous. It's also owned by a beautiful family!! They sell really hard to find African treats and groceries too. Honestly they are so kind and the food is so good

So, I went here years ago when it was called Kips and had different owners. At the time I ate an incredibly overpriced, mediocre burger.Since then, they've gotten news owners, rebranded, and today I figured would be the day I go back.For $15 I got a generously sized 8oz burger, onion rings, and a canned drink. Along with a very friendly conversation with the husband and wife duo who run the place.I've gotta say, they took what used to be a slummy little joint preying on college students and turned it into a helluva good place to get a burger. They even insisted I take a little extra sauce for the onion rings!Will definitely be back

Tried their Oxtail & Rice. We also ordered Peri Peri Chicken Cheese Wrap. Both were amazing. Especially their Oxtail had delicious flavours. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Their banana milkshakes are too good ?We also got some spicy chips which were yummy. They also sell sauces and stuff. Would definitely return to try more from their menu.
