A visit to this restaurant is a must for culinary enthusiasts, thanks to its inviting ambiance and an array of sumptuous dishes. We did face a slight delay with our order, but the staff's professionalism and warmth in managing the situation were commendable. The quality of the food, characterized by its superb flavors and artful presentation, was an absolute delight. This brief inconvenience did little to detract from an otherwise perfect dining experience, leaving us looking forward to our next visit.

We were given a 2 seat table on a night when they were a little understaffed, service was still great. As for the food, it's good but I think I'd rather spend the same money (maybe even a little less) at Bar Lupulus next door. Both for the flavors and the decor.

I want to start by saying how excited I was to be dining at absintheUnfortunately, my experience was not pleasurable at all. Our reservations were for 6:15 PM December 13, 2023. We were a party of four. My husband and I were excited to try the tasting menu. $90 per person. It consist of three seafood appetizers followed by butternut squash soup the main was Beef Wellington. We didn’t want to ruin our appetites before the mains arrived. We shared our apps with our guests. I took about an hour to get out our little apps. Then another 30 minutes to get our bowls of butternut squash soup. The soup was so spicy I couldn’t take more than one small spoonful. My husband loves spicy food but could only finish a quarter of the amount. When the almost full bowls of soup went back to the kitchen. Nobody inquired if there was a problem. We then along with our guests, proceeded to wait another two hours before our mains came out. By this time, so hungry, I had a full-blown migraine. And was not able to eat a thing. While, the other quests ate their food I sat there. My food untouched again not a single staff. Member inquired whether there was a problem if I needed help, and I could not even get anybody’s attention. Not what you expect when you’re paying $90 for your meal. They simply came over picked up the empty plates asked if I’d liked mine to go. I replied yes because I simply love my neighbors dog.Very sad. Very very disappointing.Another thing to mention we were very close to the kitchen. I think that was our only blessing because it was so cold in there. We would’ve froze to death if we were near the doors.

We celebrated my sisters 30th birthday for the 30th time. The service and food were outstanding. I looked around and saw that everyone sitting at the other tables looked happy also. Loved the set menu for large groups. Quality and selection were outstanding. The price was awesome also.

We went to Absinthe before a play at theatre nearby. It was a fabulous dining experience - the service was courteous, attentive, and very timely, the meals were amazing - very flavourful and beautifully presented. Great choice of full course meals, or a la carte. I will definitely be going back, plus recommending this place to other friends.
