The brig was rated well but was so disappointing. My husband ordered the lamb shepherd pie for 27$. Very small serving and came with….nothing. I’ve been with my husband for 15 years and never does he complain about things but after this ‘meal’ we needed to go somewhere else for his actual dinner. I had a chicken burger of some kind with a mediocre small Caesar salad. Pretty sure nothing home made about it. Expensive meal overall. Nutritionally inadequate.

First night in Ottawa, walked in, glad we did. Very friendly server and good food, my wife and I shared a large salad and a burger both were excellent and served quickly. Good selection of draft beers.

This restaurant has a convenient location to the pedestrian area. It was a creative menu, I had the falafel and my husband had fish and chips and onion soup. The food was good, we enjoyed the beer choices, the staff was friendly and the prices were fair. You do need a phone to see the menu.

Walked in here after an hour of walking in torrential rain and the staff could not have been friendlier. Bartender Andrew is a real master of his craft, never skipping a step, chilling the glass, shaking the drink until those lovely crystals form. And he's just a peach. Lovely respite from the weather.

Casual, lovingly worn pub with patio both back and front. All in our party enjoyed their food. Salmon, burger, falafel, Cobb salad. Well cooked basic but satisfying food at a good price. Friendly, attentive service.

As we were in the area we made for ‘The Brig’ for lunch. It was very quiet midweek. We chose a burger with salad and a portobello chicken dish, served on asparagus. The burger seemed fine after extracting the onions but the salad already had dressing on it which was felt to be farther vinegary. The chicken dish was fine. Tender meat and a flavoursome sauce, served on crunchy asparagus. No problems there. Service was friendly and helpful.
