This place is a blast from the past vibe-wise paired with what feels a carefully toned down take on Canadian-Chinese takeout food.The flavours all around lack that bitey high sugar content that you would expect from most of these places -- making it much more approachable to those that would otherwise avoid this type of menu, including those who are more familiar with mainland Chinese food. The textures were quite good compared to typical small town fare as well.The western menu is solid if a little bit less inspired. Our highlight out of it is all of the ice cream, which is very basic but continues with the general theme of the menu having what feels like 50% of the sugar cut out of it to make it much more palatable.Don't get me wrong this is still junky take-out food in all the ways that you want, but those who know the proverb will know what I mean when I say..."Not too sweet."Kid-friendliness: There are several play-place structures.

I stan Chips & Dairy and have since I was fifteen years old. Love you guys and have for almost two decades. I have brought dozens and dozens of friends to this place over the years. However, today I was horribly disappointed when I found out the delivery price is now a 35$ minimum order. It is now impossible for a single person to order food without having to buy frivolous extras, just to meet the delivery price. I will continue to order from you with my family, but now on those blissful afternoons, when the kids are gone and I want to order your delicious food, unfortunately, I'll have to find a cheaper alternative. All the food is awesome, the delivery times are always great---- this minimum is too high. 25$ or even 30$ MAX. Thank you for providing such care and love in to your food, which is worth the price on the menu, no doubt. From the entire South end of Ottawa, I please ask you to reconsider this minimum order fee.

been eating here since years ago but we moved out of the country for 2 years and then when we came back we lived a bit too far from here so its been ages since i’ve had it.. delighted to say the quality is amazing and it tastes even better than before sooo happy you guys are still around !!! deff going to be a monthly thing for us now. highly recommend the general tao and chicken balls combo plate ! (appreciate that the chicken balls tasted fresh and had white meat inside not dark like some places have..) their poutine is also out of this world !

This is the worst and most expensive chinese restaurant I have ever purchased food from. For two people it was 98.00. I have never in all my years seen portions so small. They have to be half sizes. I will never go here again and I suggest no one else does either. There has to be better chinese restaurants/take out in the area.Parking: 3 parking spots.
