We stop in for takeout and decided to eat in, great place and food was absolutely delicious.. the tacos are a must try!

Our party of five dined here recently. We were seated immediately and the food was delicious. The service, however, was terrible. Very long wait to order, we had to ask multiple times for water, two meals were served and then the other three meals were served 30 minutes or more later. One appetizer never arrived. Service was disorganized and forgetful. It seems that they prioritized take out borders over dine in customers. We saw one table give up and leave after 30 minutes or more with no food.

The food was great. The waitress served the whole place alone very efficiently. Some of the decor looked a little worn. The sushi and the ramen was very fresh.Kid-friendliness: It's a welcoming atmosphere for kids.

Nice little spot on Elgin. I do wish there were better additional/optional ingredients for the ramen but it's still one of the better options in Ottawa. Pho is always great, and the sushi is a go to spot for many sushi fanatics I know!

Decent place to get a quick bit. The sashimi/ Tuna was toothsome. Sake-atsukan was not stale. Service was effective.

Greeted on arrival, quickly seated and orders placed. The food came rarely quickly and it was hot. we had two appetizers, edamame and spring rolls. I wish we would have received some type of sauce with the spring roll so we dipped into the chilli sauce that came with the edamame. For the main we both had noodle dishes, I ordered the miso ramen and my husband the chicken dumpling. I’m a huge fan of Ramen, I’ve tried many and I must say, I was a tad disappointed with this one. Although it had taste, it had the bamboo shoot, mushroom, pork, corn.. it had 1 piece of egg and the yolk was solid (cooked maybe a little too long). Also, the taste was just a bit lacking, not bad but definitely could have had more flavour.lastly, I know with inflation and covid prices have gone higher but out 4 items (two being appetizers) cost us over 50$. I thought it was a bit pricey for the quality. That’s also my reason for the 4 stars. I’m ok paying for a good meal but the quality needs to be there for me to be happy with paying that amount. This location was not too far from the parliament building which makes it very easily accessible and of walking distance.

The spicy ramen was delicious . A large portion at a great price. My boyfriend had the chicken pho which lacked flavour. The place was clean and it shows the staff loves what they do- everyone was happy and it was contagious.

Yo, it's so good, their ramen are excellent – I never felt so full and content without feeling an ounce of regret from a take out in a long time.

My wife and I have been coming here for years! Its a great family run business that serves fresh and very tasty sushi at a VERY reasonable cost. I find this really hard to find in Ottawa but this place does it! I highly highly recommend this place if you want GOOD sushi without breaking the bank.

This place is now called Gokusen, so older reviews don't apply. It's simple, no frills, in terms of decor but clean and comfortable. I've tried every sushi place in Ottawa in the last 10 years and this restaurant was a real surprise! Sashimi pieces were thick and fresh, rolls perfectly executed, fresh and generous. Nice presentation too. Torched sushi was nice. Great value for the sushi sashimi combo at 49.95. Feeds two adults. See picture.

Ginza is now "Gokusen", and to anyone else looking for good sushi... this is the place in Ottawa. The older gentleman working here works absolute magic, and was so welcoming.Every Maki roll I had was amazing; even the soy sauce was excellent and in a cool little reused sake bottle. The Miso that was served with our meal was literally the best I've ever had in my life. 200/10 for that Miso alone. They even had a little bit of imported real wasabi paste that changed my life.In summary: the best sushi experience I've ever had. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!!

Very small shop with amazing ambience. I love how they had J-Pop music on the background, specially AKLO's Lost in Paradise just when the Ramen got served. Definitely my go to Ramen shop everytime I'd go to Ottawa. Arigato ghozaimasu....

I ordered from skip the dishes. Honestly so good. Best sushi I've had in a while.
