Went in and put our group on the waitlist and were told we were to wait an hour. Waited 2.5 hours, and still 6 groups before us. A group that came in after us were seated before us too. Front of house mishandled this poorly. Unfortunately we were not seated at the end of the night and went somewhere else.

I visited this restaurant for my friends 30th birthday. We had a party of 12 and reservations for 5:45. Upon arrival we waited in the lobby for 25 minutes and were not provided any updates until one of the guests finally asked and we were advised they were trying to move people around. Once seated at the table, we were advised because of the size of our party we were going to be charged 18% gratuity and would have a time limit of 2 hours. The staff were hostile and visibly miserable, and did not attend to our table once to ask how things were or if we needed drinks etc. We were offered free appetizers (which were chosen by the restaurant)- fries and 3 orders of the cauliflower app. Absolutely awful experience and would suggest you dine elsewhere.

This was my first time dining at Joey Landsdowne and I brought my family along as it was a special occasion. The ambience was awesome and the service was second-to-none. The food was absolutely amazing! The New York strip (both 7oz and 11oz) was had as was the Grilled Chicken Club, the Japanese Gyoza, and the seared salmon sushi. I had the steak and will focus on that dish...although the steak was not as tender as a ribeye (expected), it was perfectly cooked as requested. I can only describe the first bite as a carnival ride of flavour that made this steak lover extremely happy. The accompanying asparagus had a light smoke flavour and the fully loaded crispy mashed were delightful! My family was equally as pleased with their respective dishes. We will be back!

Whenever I'm in Ottawa, Joey's Lansdowne is my absolute favorite place to dine! It's the perfect spot whether you're out for a romantic date or socializing with a group of friends. Their menu is so diverse and every dish I’ve had is delicious. The cocktails here are just as amazing as the food, meeting every expectation. The staff there are friendly and attentive, which really adds to the whole experience. The only downside is that on weekends, it can get pretty busy, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. But trust me, it's totally worth it!

Went to this restaurant for celebrating my wife’s birthday on March 31 and I really liked the place and food, but that was just until I got home and started to vomit and have diarrhea. I had a food intoxication lasting 5 days! My kid also felt the same symptoms. I even had to go to the hospital for hydration, so of course I’m never going back there.

Food was great. Server was kind. Place is beautiful. The music was just unbelievably high and unpleasant. We asked twice if it could be lowered, nothing changed. We couldn't hear each other by the table. We left the place with headaches. Such a detail that can completely change the experience. A suggestion if you want to have loud music is divide the area in sectors and offer a table where people have a chance not to scream.

The food was great, but the music volume was extremely loud and we could barely talk. We asked twice if it was possible to lower the volume at least a little, but it didn't happen.

I've been to Joey's a few times, but it was always during the day or I sat on the patio, so yesterday was the first time I went at night and sat inside the restaurant. The food was delicious, the waitress was very attentive and friendly, but the music was EXTREMELY loud, completely unnecessary! My group of friends asked the waitress twice if she could ask to lower the volume of the music a bit, she asked but no change was made. There were 6 of us and unfortunately it was impossible to have a group conversation, I could barely talk to the 2 friends closest to me, I had to shout, my throat was hurting!Today I woke up hoarse and with a headache (no, I didn't drink any alcohol!)!There is no need for such loud music in a place where people are there to eat, talk, and have a good time!Nobody was dancing, it wasn't a dance environment, so the music didn't need to be SO LOUD!And I'm not talking about the musical style, but rather the volume at which the music is played! It's deafening! There's no need for it!Surely the auditory decibels were far beyond the recommended limit for such environments! If you could reconsider this concept of music volume, the environment would certainly be more pleasant.I would definitely like to come back on a new opportunity and have a better experience regarding the volume of the music played and know that the opinion of Joey's customers is taken into consideration by its managers!Thank you very much for your consideration!

Our visit on Saturday night was made incredible by a wonderful server named Kat (or Cat, sorry if I spelled your name wrong!). She was friendly, attentive and met our table where we were at. Kat seems like she would be able to provide excellent service no matter the composition of the group of guests.I have been to this location many times and have enjoyed excellent food and drinks. However the service we received really set a new bar for me - Kat made the night not only special but recommendable. As a service industry worker myself I was deeply impressed by Kat’s breadth of knowledge about the menu, personable service and overall as an experience provider. Thanks Kat!
