As I slowly get comfortable with the hybrid workplace, I am also enjoying finding new places to enjoy. La Casa Del Gusto - didn't disappoint. I was tempted by the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich, but was also considering a burger. The Gusto Burger won out and it certainly didn't disappoint. The combination of BBQ sauce, goat cheese, bacon and tortilla chips was simply wonderful. The fries were a suitable and equally enjoyable side.Service was friendly and engaging and more than willing to help one make a decision. The menu (see the photos below) is extensive, which means more opportunities to try the smoked meat, wraps and other options.I'll be back.

There was no heat! "Our heating has been on the fritz lately ". I mean it's just the end of November in Eastern Canada... burger was tasty but not more than that. For the price it is good methinks. The one lady was serving everybody promptly but that's it, she was a one woman show and that's not fair on her.

Great space and atmosphere. Almost a combo between a sports bar and diner. However food was abysmal. Ordered Nachos which came with very little cheese and small pieces of onion, pepper and tiny mushroom. The club sandwich was decent. Caesar salad had no romaine consisted solely of spinach and leafy veg. Extremely small portion size. Poutine was good again very little cheese curds. Wouldn't visit again.

I took my Mother for lunch on a weekday and our waitress was great! Menu has something for everyone and I had the Rueben sandwich which was excellent! My Mother had the chicken caesar wrap which was also excellent.Reason for only 2 stars is atmosphere / ambiance was not so great. An employee was doing chores, cleaning behind the bar, doing dishes etc. near where we were seated. They were making the worst racket possible, constantly banging dishes and other things around so loud it interrupted our conversation over and over. The employee was either totally oblivious to it or was aware, but couldn't care less.Either way, it is not acceptable; this is a restaurant with people trying to eat and have a conversation. Nobody should have to put up with this and and in the least I should not have paid for our meals - that's not what we came to the restaurant for. But I kept quiet so as not to make a scene or make it any more unpleasant than need be for my Mother. Others sitting beside us were annoyed as well, it was not just us.Of the only ten customers in the entire restaurant at the time, there were two guys sitting at the bar, one talking very loud; (one customer insisted on sitting out on the patio - now we know why - LOL). So loud in fact, the one at the bar talked over my Mother who often had to repeat her words. If this were an Irish pub he would fit right in, but this is supposed to be a family restaurant, right? The manager should have told him to lower his voice. One thing missing was ambiance and piped music of any kind, which a good restaurant always has.Com'on guys, you need to do better than this, if you want your restaurant to not just barely survive, but to have people waiting in line at the door. You really need to up your game and remember the customer is your priority and their experience from time they arrive to time they leave is what will ultimately make or break your business. It's not just about revenue vs expenses.I say this because I live in the immediate area and we need a family restaurant here. It's a great location. But I'm afraid it's just not happening with this restaurant unless management make some effective changes to the atmosphere and to their policies. Especially here, where there is local competition. A business can't just provide a fair-average customer experience and then expect to survive.

Big and spacious - ideal during covid. A fabulously large menu- something for everyone. They transform the restaurant on nights when they have a jazz duo, making it feel much more upscale.

Good food and friendly staff. I really enjoyed the live music. The patio is beautiful in the summer.

Nothing special, more of a family restaurant with a much larger menu than they can cater to.

Had breakfast there with friends, I had the junior plate, the toast was burnt, the sausage all shrivelled up as if a few days old. Too embarrassed to send anything back because it was so inexpensive. At my cost, I got sick the afternoon (think it was the bad sausage)

The quesadillas were nice (3/5). The root beer tasted pretty good as well (4/5). Their cheesecake was also great (4/5). The ambiance was lovely (5/5). Took off a star because the Electric Smurf wasn't great (1/5) and also there aren't that many appealing cold drink options.

Enjoyed their pasta-chicken Alfredo fettuccini. Very delicious! Smoked meat sandwich was good too.

The breakfast was perfect, I ordered steak and eggs and they provide Halal options which was awesome. Thank you Sam and great folks for your great services. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is a gem. I have to agree with previous comments that the veggie burger is the best I have tasted. It was not a 'slap on pre cooked' burger. Perfectly dressed with mushroom, tomato and mayo sauce with real greens not the bland iceberg . My companion had the meat burger equally large with ample dressings including the bacon! Great service. Highly recommend sitting inside or out on the patio. Will be back.
