This place is absolutely amazing. We came to Ottawa for my fiancée’s birthday and she has celiac, and found this restaurant. We never, ever get gluten free pizza, let alone gluten free pizza THAT good. Seriously, absolutely amazing. We loved it so much we came here twice in our four day trip. The food is amazing, especially (but not only) if you have celiac, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere is beautiful. I cannot rate this place highly enough. We are so grateful to them for such a lovely evening for my beautiful partner. Absolutely absolutely worth going!!!!! La Dolce Vita seamlessly incorporates gluten-free practices into their restaurant. Staff ask if you want a gluten-free menu and make you feel welcome. I love that they have a full gluten-free menu to include starters, mains, as well as all desserts being gluten-free. The gluten-free garlic bread with mozzarella is the best I’ve ever had! My spouse orders off the regular menu and highly recommends the chicken parm. The head chef is incredibly kind and has taken the time to talk to me and my spouse multiple times. It’s obvious he cares about guests, the restaurant, and creating a space welcoming to those who are gluten-free and those who aren’t in an educated, thoughtful way. This is my go-to restaurant!

Chef Nelio is amazing. If it is your birthday he will sing you his rendition of happy birthday like an Italian aria. The food... out of this world. The pizza isn't too sweet of a dough, the salads are great, caprese salad is GENEROUS as well as the lasagna. I love the seafood canelonni. Creme Brulee and tiramisu are a must! I am in love with this place and have been back many times. They even have gluten free items (and a lot of them) you know it's gluten free if it comes on a black plate. Make reservations ahead of time. You won't be disappointed by this.

Really overcooked (chicken was hard and dry).The garlic bread without cheese was dry and had no flavour. The $4 bread basket didn’t come with oil or butterThe sage gnocchi was the biggest hit, but did not come in a GF option.We were excited to try as I am GF and run out of dining options often, but I’m not sure this was worth the hype.

If you're looking for the perfect restaurant, look no further.My Italian partner and I went here for Valentine's Day. I am diagnosed Celiac, so finding a good gluten-free meal is SO difficult. The food wasn't just excellent "for gluten-free" it was some of the best pasta I have ever had, and I only cut out Gluten recently. My partner ordered off the regular menu and shared gluten-free apps with me, and was equally as happy. Since my diagnosis, this was the first time I felt truly comfortable eating at a restaurant.The staff was so friendly, with the Chef coming out to check on couples to see how everything was. He even took the time to explain the Celiac protocols and history of the restaurant. The server was attentive, helpful, and despite how busy it was, food was brought out quickly and was stellar.I can't recommend La Dolce Vita enough and will be making this a regular spot for dinner. Thank you to Chef Nealio and his whole team for making my Valentine's Day special.

This restaurant made my birthday very special. I had buddies visit from out of town and they all commented on how amazing this place is.We got there at 5:30pm and started off with some red wine and had a variety of appetizers, all of them incredible, but a special shout-out to the bruschetta and the calamari! Most of us got the chicken parm, and although it’s a simple dish, it was amazing all around. Good sauce, good pasta, and the chicken was amazing too.Chef came out to see how we enjoyed the food and then he sang me a happy birthday along with a crème brûlée!Just one massive shoutout to the staff, who put up with us for like five hours of eating and enjoying our wine. They were all incredible and absolutely lovely all around. I could not have chosen a better place to celebrate a milestone birthday!
