The asain waitress has no decorum, it's embarrassing and a bad reflection on the establishment. As regulars, her attitude and customer service was nasty and uncalled for. Dont get the beef tacos.

Enjoyed this place up until my most recent visit. For starters if you're a group of non white people expect stares. Eta was apparently over an hour, had some small snacks with my friends while we waited for our pool table before we settled and ordered food/drinks. 40 minutes of waiting later, a strange asian lady with literacy issues who works there informed us we had to leave immediately, apparently because we were eating the little dollarama snacks. She accused us of "soliciting", albeit using the word incorrectly which was confusing for us, hence the literacy issues. Instead of kindly informing a customer of their policy and being honest and open like a normal person with a normal functioning brain, she admitted she was stalking us for 40 minutes snivelling around until she found it was appropriate to kick us out without any prior warning. She stuttered on her words after we questioned her and left us with a hilarious "It's your choice" after initially telling us we need to leave in front of everyone. I think she may have been hungry and wanted a reeses. Truly bizarre and disgusting behaviour, very strange person indeed!

Pool tables are awesome! $12 an hour and then $0.20 a minute afterwards; what a great system and a great price! The menu items are a bit expensive but they list a great variety of drinks on the menu, especially with shots. Didn't order any food so no comment there. Service was awesome, staff were very approachable and checked in on my group at the perfect times.

Idk why they can’t get some new tables and chairs. The dining + seating looks so old… the entire place has a basement vibe. BUT pool is fine and prices are fair, will go back.

Went there for 2 nights, the small plates were absolutely amazing. The alcohol was great, the service was top notch. Adam served us and he was goated. Brought up the spirit, remembered us from yesterday, lots of laughs, even saw us watching baseball on our phone and put it on the tv for us, amazing service. Pool was lots of fun and next time I come back to Ottawa I definitely will be back, and hopefully in Adams section!
This is an ideal place to play pool with friends while grabbing a bite and a drink. Perfectly located along a strip if you wanted to pub crawl.

Only giving this place.a 3/5 because every single time we're there, there is always an issue with the bill. Alcohol is programmed in the til to be much higher and they are always surprised when we call them out. Maybe they are hoping you're too drunk to question the bill but they are ripping you off. Other than that, food and service is great

I love hanging out at McLaren’s, been here at least a dozen times. Great vibes, lots of pool tables and great beer selection. But one of the best things is the staff - the servers and bartenders are always super friendly, skilled multitaskers and always giving great service. I’ll keep coming
