Our dinner at this charming spot was absolutely delightful! We were warmly greeted upon arrival, and the cozy ambiance set the stage for a wonderful evening. The menu offered a variety of tempting options, and we eagerly ordered a bit of everything. However, there was a slight mix-up with one of our orders, but the staff quickly rectified the mistake with a sincere apology and complimentary dessert. The food itself was divine—each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Despite the minor hiccup, we left with full bellies and smiles on our faces, already planning our next visit.

The menu featured an array of delicious dishes, each one expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The attentive staff made our dining experience truly memorable.

Foood was a total miss, we’ve been here fours times in the past 2 years and these past two times the food has been subpar and inedible . Dry and tasteless burger, one of my sister’s and mother returned their entree which they voided- very much appreciated .Buuut the service was great we really enjoyed how all the staff helped each other out it was refreshing to see. Our hostess/server was 10/10 and the whole spot was cleeeeanas usual .Not too sure what’s happened in the past year but I hope you retain that staff they’re your backbone but unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon .

Very pretentious. Very pricey. Food quality meh. I think we paid for the quality of the cutlery, because both the prosciutto bennie and the tomato bennie were not flavorful. No flair or pizzazz for the price.

Unexpectedly ended up dining at this restaurant tonight and went in not knowing what was even on the menu, but once we sat down we realized everything looked great. We tried multiple dishes and shared everything amongst the four of us and everything was delicious. Top notch food. Service was initially very attentive although the kitchen was a bit slow for receiving the food. Then we ordered a second round and ended up waiting nearly an hour before we had to get up and flag someone down to inquire about our order. Aside from that extra long wait, overall service was also wonderful. We got to sit in the newer speak easy section and quite enjoyed the ambiance as well. I'll definitely have to plan a return trip to this place!

We ordered the seafood tower for 2 and everything was delicious and it was plenty of food for 2. Well prepared, the different seasoning and the sauces were tasteful. There is a good selection of wines and cocktails. The service was perfect and professional. Highly recommend!

Fabulous food! We were there for Sunday brunch. The croissants were to die for, the coffee was nice and strong, my veggie brunch platter was very flavourful. Not sure how they make their hash browns, but they are awesome! Staff was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Ok so... our server was honestly 10/10. This was the only silver lining in the night. I believe his name was Micheal. We could tell he knew we were uncomfortable with multiple things and tried his best to accommodate us. Thank you to him. First we were seated at this awkward table spot which is in the middle of the walkway of this very small restaurant. I believe they should just get rid of that table all together cause the amount of ppl who knocked over my jacket or were just too close to us while walking by, was annoying. We waited 1 hour and a half for our food... which is self explanatory. I mentioned this, and nothing was done to fix this. We also requested to move tables, and the hostess ended up giving our new table to another guest next to us lol like the night literally just got worse. Thankfully the drinks were 7/10 so they got us through the night. Micheal ended up giving us two shots for free for the table mess up, but my Wagyu burger arrived and the fries were cold (obv after 1.5 hour wait) and we did not pay for that. The burger was dry.. like it was a mess! To top it all off the total for a table of two is was $186. A joke. Safe to say we will not be coming back and I will mention that we were the only two black propel there. I will leave it there. Do better.

We absolutely loved our experience, mostly because we were sitting at the bar and Nathan & Terry were serving us; such fabulous hosts. We had the seafood tower - one of the best in the city - with a bottle of bubbly. The atmosphere was lively and perhaps a bit noisy as the restaurant was already full, even for 6:30, but it didn't prevent us from having a romantic evening. Mati is definitely our go-to for the seafood tower and great ambiance. Their cocktails are also wonderful and creative.

We had a great time at Mati for a date dinner night. The welcome and sitting was good, and Max, our waitress was very helpful and friendly. The food was cooked well and tasted ? good. We took a double-decker seafood tower which is a mix of different seafood and we loved it. The tables are a bit too close to each other, which may not be good when you need privacy... we spoke in French and other foreign languages so for us it was not really a problem, although we could hear the people sitting next to us

Food is delicious, drinks are very good! Price is very expensive though. Ambiance us chic but tables are too close together in the back room, like literally a foot away from each other. I wish that the automatic tip suggestions would not start at 20%, this is outrageous and a bad move since tipping culture is seeing a backlash.

Two stars — one for the steak, and the other for the server who was doing her best.We came here for Valentines dinner. They were serving a set menu and the dishes were pretty basic (steak, chicken, creme brûlée). Service was a mess. The spacing between dishes was very long, it took 2 hours for 2 dishes to come, and we saw people beside us being served before us even though we ordered first. We had:Seafood Platter: This was pretty skimpy. The only element I liked were the tacos, and we found it odd that they served 5 pieces of sushi to share between 2 people.Ravioli: This was nothing special. Too much garlic.Steak: The steak was cooked perfectly, very tender and served at the right temperature. The fries were horrible. Inconsistent texture, some chewy and others crisp like a chip.Creme Brûlée: Tasted good but would have preferred a more shallow dish as there was too much cream compared to sugar. We expected more from the service and food given the price. Wouldn’t return.

The portion of the meal served was good relative to the price. The taste and presentation of the meal was good. The waitress (Riley) was courteous, nice and went above and beyond to ensure our night out was great. The ambience was okay. The meals are pricey though, so ensure your account can withstand stress ?
