Controversial comment in Ottawa, but this is the best shawarma we've had in Ottawa. The meat has consistently been moist and vegetables were fresh, hummus and garlic sauce and potatoes were all very good. We've had the chicken and beef both dining in and take out. Fellow gamers should know you may find some good gaming discussion to be had with some staff! Make the trip, you'll enjoy a great feast.

This is a great restaurant! I love the mom-and-pop feel to it and the people are super friendly. It's the type of place that I want to bring my business too. The food is amazing! I am now going once a week.Kid-friendliness: I am sick of spending my money in chain restaurants but I go where the food is good and the food is good here.

A big argument people have is quantity vs quality. The argument ends here when both are easily provided by the staff. The staff are very friendly and very happy all the time, and it is a pleasure walking into the restaurant's doors every time I go. There is a reason I keep coming back!

Why do you close early? I was super excited to get it for me and my family... I was rushing to get there before 7pm which I did. And you were already sweeping the floor and locked the doors. You advertise that you close at 7pm.. why were you closed at 6:54pm? I'll definitely not be giving you my business a anymore

I've ordered from Retaj numerous times and the food is consistently fresh and delicious! We orderd two family platters last night and had enough food to feed a small army! It's obvious this family takes great care and pride in the food they prepare and distribute to their customers. This spot is a true gem in Riverside South. ❤️

Really disappointed in the food here. The shawarma is very average but the portions was good. The meat and cheese pies are the worst I have ever had in my life. The amount of grease in the cheese pies leaking through the bag is unacceptable and the dough was so poor it didn't even looked cooked, the dough had no taste at all , almost like it's purchased frozen. You should feel embarrassed selling those pies.

Wow. I can’t say enough good things about the food and service at this location. We have ordered the Chicken Shawarma platter for 4 and the portions are huge and the taste is delicious. The chicken is always tender and tasty, the rice and potatoes are the best I have had. The salad is massive and delicious. I don’t know where they get their lettuce, peppers and cucumbers but it’s like they are fresh from the garden.
