The food was very bland. The paneer gravy tasted like it came out of a grocery store sauce pack. Frankly, I'm not the chef, I am assuming you have one, so forgive me if I can't pinpoint the exact missing ingredients like some kind of gourmet detective.And speaking of taste, let's address the elephant in the room. When my partner dared to share a similar critique, your response was downright rude. I mean, if you're going to dish it out, at least have the decency to take it with a side of humility.How about you take your own advice and do a little research on customer service? You know, as much PRIDE as you take in your food, maybe it's time to extend that to your customer service skills. Because let's face it, right now, they're not exactly earning you any Michelin stars. This is my third response, and I can already see it's falling on deaf ears. So, I'm not going to waste any more of my time giving feedback that clearly isn't wanted. Good luck with those "freshest and highest quality ingredients" – maybe they'll teach you a thing or two about humility someday.

Wow ! This place is worth driving from anywhere in Ottawa to visit. I wish I could give the service 6 out of 5 stars because our server was just so helpful, patient and friendly. As a non-indian person I am often overwhelmed and confused by the menu at indian restaurants but our server explained everything so well and helped us all pick dishes that were unbelievably delicious. I was so excited to eat my leftovers the next day for lunch. We will be back! Thank you so much to everyone at Sona.

I ordered the manchurian and paneer makhani. The paneer tasted like the sauce came from a grocery store packet, I could taste the preservatives. It was extremely disappointing. Had hara bhara kebab and manchurian as the appetizers and both were good. The main course included paneer madras, bhindi masala and Malai kofta. The bhindi masala wasn’t very good and would not recommend but the other two were good. The garlic naan was also decent. Overall a good experience and the service was great.

Sleepy Boyfriend, Spicy Lunch Savior! When my boyfriend kicks me out for his beauty sleep, I find solace in Sona Indian Restaurant. I'm welcomed with open arms and mouth-watering Indian delights. Who needs a cozy bed when you have spicy food to lift your sad spirits? Thank you for saving my lunch hour with laughter and curry! Jokes aside, they have a lunch special that is $20, there is lots of options for the lunch special including vegan options. really good value. The butter chicken has lots of chicken within. A new favourite spot for sure.
