Whilst not cheap, they offer very nice cupcakes with a convenient delivery service which allowed me to order cupcakes from the UK to someone in Ottawa! They have a big selection and I would recommend them in the future!

I have ordered a variety of baked goods to try, especially the cakes as they have the least reviews. The cupcakes I ordered were: chocolate chocolate ( Very tasty chocolate cake and sweet buttercream to compliment. The cake isn’t too sweet so it works), maple cinnamon (My favourite - tasty cake base which was slightly dry and a nice buttercream), vanilla vanilla (Vanilla cake base which was also a bit dry but had a nice vanilla flavour.) To be honest the cupcakes are nice but they really could be much more moist. I won’t order these again. I ordered a red velvet cake which was tasty and moist to me but some people wished the icing tasted more of cream cheese. I ordered the mouse passion fruit cake which looked wonderful. The vanilla cake inside was nice like the cupcakes but the passion fruit was a bit bitter and didn’t seem to blend in well. Sadly the cake also collapses completely when left at room temperature because of the filling. This cake was not too much of a hit for everyone. For my birthday I ordered the salted caramel cake. This was so so tasty! The toffee syrup made the butterscotch cake so moist! The butterscotch cake is so lovely too I couldn’t stop eating it. The only ask was that there was too much icing. The icing is about half as thick as each cake layer so it was overwhelming a bit. But honestly with a little less icing, more cake and everything else the same - this cake is worth the buy for those who love vanilla but want something with a twist for once. The caramel flavours were not overwhelming. Honestly thank you for this one.

There cupcakes were ok. I got carrot, lemon, vanilla chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, and cinnamon maple. I enjoy the wide range of selections, but am disappointed with the taste. The frosting tastes bad, worse than most grocery stores. Kind of tastes like water and icing sugar. The cake isn’t bad. Unfortunately having worked in several bakeries I can say good frosting makes the product and brings customers back in the store. I don’t see myself returning.

We saw this shop near Zak's at byward market and decided to have as a afternoon snack. These cupcakes are a must try. Was absolutely delicious. Price was relative (around $5 per cupcake)compared to others in the market. They have good containers for taking a 4 pack for the road as well.

The cupcake lounge has the most delicious cupcakes. Whenever I am downtown Ottawa I always make sure to stop in and grab some!When I got engaged, I knew I had to have them make our wedding cake. They did such a beautiful job and it was so tasty!

Not worth the price. All taste similar and buttery. Some of them were dry. I think it’s pretty expensive 30$ for 6 cupcakes.I can do better with Betty Crocker boxes. Not going again.

I have passed by here many times and never came in. Finally made the point to have a cupcake and it was delicious. The red velvet was made textbook. A bit on the pricey side. That's what you get when you buy anything from Byward. I would go back again if I wanted to treat myself.

Seriously disappointed with the service. We came in excited to try the cupcakes and were treated with rude manners and terrible service. Never coming here again, and I'm not even bothered to try the cupcakes because of her disrespectful facial features and rolled eyes. She ruined the vibe for us. She definitely needs an attitude check and a customer service class.

We got a dozen cupcakes of various flavours and we were more then pleased with how light and delicious they were!! The strawberry and raspberry frosting were clearly fresh and incorporated actual fruit in them! We even went around shopping for a few hours and when we got home they were still delicious. They were a wonderful treat for my sister's birthday ? :). [our only critique is that the sprinkles on the strawberry cupcakes were a bit tough]
