We were fortunate that they had room for us at brunch the other day... The food was great tasting and plentiful. The service was friendly and efficient. It was a bit cramped and noisy but that's understandable given how popular it seems to be. We'll be back... Next time with a reservation.

Service was a tad slow but was expected for when I ate on Sunday, otherwise attentive and kind. Very nice open faced chicken sandwich! I do wished the honey and mayo shined through a little more. Ambience was cute and cozy

Fantastic lunch and dessert! Loved the salmon, plus unbelievable fritters for dessert! Exceptional service and tasty, creatively prepared dishes make this a favourite place to eat in Ottawa.

I absolutely love coming here whenever I don't feel like cooking and feel like a well-prepared meal out in the neighborhood. Service is top notch, warm, friendly, helpful and thoughtful. An absolute gem in the Glebe, worth stopping by if you have the opportunity. Great value for the quality as well, which is ever increasingly rare.

Hands down the best place to get brunch in the glebe! The service was wonderful, our server was very attentive and gave us detailed descriptions of the menu items was appreciated. Lots of vegetarian options. I got the avocado tartrine and scrambled eggs, and my friend got to falafel and roasted eggplant sandwich - so good! We also loved the atmosphere of the place - super cool and bustling with energy.

The food and drinks are excellent, the little details in their decor are fun and quirky, and the staff are kind and helpful. We had their stuffed peppers, and the pork with pineapple, which were both fantastic, and I loved the floral taste of the Beautiful Fool cocktail. I look forward to going back!My only wish is that the space was quieter; despite it being a small size, the interior has no sound absorbing panels or foam so it's rather noisy.

Shared a brunch date here on a rainy day! Cool spot, on the smaller side which gave it a more intimate setting without feeling crowded at all. Greeted and seated by a super nice host. Server was attentive, and had a fun personality, engaged with us on order ideas and recommendations. Definitely recommend giving this spot a try! We had the avocado tartine and the falafel with roasted eggplant, both were massive portions considering the price point and the bread was heavenly!

Went here with my boyfriend for a date night and I'm so glad I found this nice spot! I was a bit wary with the menu, but our server did an amazing job explaining what goes into each dish we were considering. I got the Shrimp on Toast and the execution was flawless! My boyfriend's Striploin Steak even got my approval even though I've never been a fan of steak. The service was a good mix of being attentive and letting us enjoy our time. The space is beautifully decorated, and while it can be a bit loud, we felt comfortable. Overall, it was definitely worth the price!

My wife and I went for Valentine’s Day expecting a wonderful experience. Reservation was for 5:30 but we were 20 minutes late due to traffic. As a result we were “punished” by getting sat at a small 2 seating next to the wall, no salt or pepper on the table. The host/bartender brusquely informed us that we would only have the table until 7:15 due to our tardiness. The menu was extremely limited and the food and beverages were woefully overpriced… even for 2024 inflation. We both ordered the sirloin which took 40 minutes to arrive. My wife ordered hers rare (it arrived VERY rare) and I ordered mine medium (it came out medium rare). The worst part was this $41 piece of beef was very tough and rubbery and the brown sauce tasted awful. We both finished our plates but not because we enjoyed it, we were famished. The blonde female server interacted with as little as possible and avoided eye contact until the food arrived, and upon delivering the bill. There was the natural chatting us up to potentially increase her tip… but only at the end. Very transparent. We were out of there by 7:00. 15 minutes to spare…My wife and I left full but unsatisfied so we walked over to Joey’s and enjoyed coffee and dessert. We were treated with excellent service, especially by comparison, despite the fact we only ordered dessert. This second location made the trip to Landsdowne worthwhile and “saved”Valentine’s Day.Suffice to say, I will NEVER darken The Rowan’s doorstep again and I recommend no one else do so either.
