Everything was great, however, we did feel very rushed. We had to tell our server three times that we were not in a hurry. We had planned to spend the evening within the first half hour we already had been served two courses with our initial cocktail... Unfortunately, this resulted in us not ordering a final course, because we were full from eating too quickly. We did however stay in savour a bottle of wine!

There were several problems. 1) They were out of stock of various menu items 2) the place was very cold 3) the chefs board was very amateur with pretty much what I would expect from air canada on the plate with no inspiration at all. 3) We were served our main with our used plates an cutlery from the starter which is a bit unusual for a fancy restaurant.

We had such a great time, the drinks were fabulous, the service was on par, and the oysters were great. We went there for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we're constantly well taken care of. I wish it included bread and butter (or olive oil) on the side. We will return for more mojitos and margarita.

We went to Soca for our 33rd wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere was classy but not snobby. The food was to die for. The dishes that stood out to me were the Soca ceviche, watercress caesar salad, chicken empanada and the coconut dessert. The waiter was so professional yet funny. We laughed out loud a few times. He made our evening. I would definitely recommend this little gem to my family and friends.

Great place for spanish/latin inspired food. Our waitress was superb as well. We could tell she wasn't feeling well but still strived to give us her best service. Will definitely be back and recommend Soca Kitchen.

Our server - was amazing - knew everything about the food and the wine. Made great recommendations about both wine and food. Was super nice and engaging. Food was so good - definatly will be back.

Great restaurant in the Glebe. Ceviche was outstanding, served with plantains. Patatas bravas just like they serve in Spain! Friend had well seasoned chicken tacos. Cucumber margarita hit the spot. Going back!

A suggestion - having a printed menu would have be oh-so-helpful for members of our group! The big problem came when it was time to pay! For some reason we could not pay individually, or one bill with each splitting it. We ended up one person paying and getting others to e-transfer. It was confusing and completely unnecessary. I'm pretty sure that of our party of five, several will not return. Would I recommend Soca Kitchen - yes with qualifications.

The food is very good!! Our server was lovely but they don't have enough servers for the restaurant. We were always waiting to waive down the server for more drinks, food items etc..

The food seemed bland. The cocktails are great! It's too bad we were asked to rush out bc 2 out of 3 at my table only wanted drinks and not food. Until then the service was excellent.

It was our wedding anniversary and we had an excellent evening and enjoyed sitting out on the patio. The food was very good and the service was charming. The only problem was that there were no paper menus and we are not very tech savvy, so we found that very challenging.

QR code should go directly to the menu, not to the general website. The music inside was too loud (volume enough for patio to hear) and the servers claimed they had no control over volume. Got to get better at managing shared bills. Issue was a table of 6, five of which shared dishes and wine. The fifth person ordered and consumed her own choice only. Waiter took two tries at getting that reflected in the bills, and was still wrong. We ended up sorting it out ourselves with cash exchanges.

The food was sub-par, unfortunately. My huervos cacerola was overcooked, dry and underwhelming. My partner's cauli steak was over cooked and bland. The wine and service were good.

It's a sweet little place, trendy and with space for improvement. Sadly in this trade, your window to improve is very short since competition is sharpish. The menu is well designed but expensive. Yes I understand that costs are high, Labour is scarce and taxes ridiculous. On top of that they don't have that many tables and at that price, I doubt that skip the dishes are often at the door. The ceviche was ok, I mean there is so many version that it's hard to tell who is cooking the authentic one. Far too much salt but it's good for the drink tab. The octopus was tasty and tender, too much salt but it's hardly a full of flavour piece of meat. The service is student run, I saying that with love and compassion by the way. Yet you need a personality in a restaurant. The face of the dining room, a voice, a charismatic yet know when to be discreet type of “chef d'orchestre”. If you love selfies to nourish your narcissistic social media account, it might not be the right place for you. If you are looking for a small and cozy place to meet your beloved... it's ideal. As a chef, it was perfect. My sodium level might be less tolerable than yours, it's a question of taste. Nothing else. The food is good.

Reunion with old friend. Nice atmosphere and fairly quiet for talking. Lighting is not flattering unfortunately. Didn't feel pressure to leave. Food was good but kind of pricey.
