A hidden gem of the western edge of the Ottawa area. The ambience is unmatched, with plush armchairs, fireplaces, and bookshelves loaded with old books. The menu takes inspiration from Korean cuisine and sets new expectations for how good fries can be. Don't skip this place, even if the hike down Falldown is a bit much.
The best spots to eat are always the ones you just stumble upon when traveling. That's how we found ourselves enjoying an incredible meal at The Swan at Carp. Originally constructed as a Presbyterian manse in 1902 and later converted to a pub, the Swan was reborn in 2000 by the current owners, both of who. Are professionally trained chefs.
