Wonderful job on the gluten free for my celiac daughter. Good communication and sounds like good training in place for kitchen staff. Burgers were great for the rest of us too. Thank you.

Even with new burger places popping up all the time, The Works is still my favorite. Incredible burgers with a variety of toppings (and patties, too! From mushroom cap to elk to chicken!) that is unparalleled! And if the huge selection doesn't do it for you, the ability to customize every aspect, down to bun type and sides surely will. The cherry on top (or perhaps pickle in this case!) is that the servers genuinely seem to love their job.My one (minor) hesitation for me when considering where to eat out is that the Westboro location always feels just shy of comfortable, temperature-wise. It always feels a little too warm... but then, maybe that's because it's almost always crowded! This place is one of those that you never want to change, but then you're pleasantly surprised by the frequent menu updates and innovative ways to always stay just ahead of the other guys. Despite the increasingly competitive market, The Works is still my fave.

The Love Goat and fried pickles are a staple comfort dinner of mine from this place! Thanks for all the creative and flavourful options!

Shrinkflation has definitely hit this place hard. Burger and patty size have shrunk considerably over the years.Average to below average service.Food was tasty, tho!

My family of 5 came in for dinner for my mom's birthday, it's a Tuesday night. Upon arrival there was barely anyone in the restaurant; a group of 10 people with mostly small kids and max 8 other people. Our waitress told us it would be 25mins for food to come out, no problem. Fast forward 40mins later and we're still waiting. Our waitress confesses that they are short staffed in the kitchen. This is no excuse for what was served to us. The fries were not cooked thru and still had a crunch of raw potato to them, the sweet potatoes fries were cold, my son's crunchy chicken burger is mushy and the rest of the burgers are borderline medium cooked. The bottom of my bun has grilled marks but the top was cold like it was just taken out of the fridge. We don't go out often and restaurants are for a special occasions. I know that the restaurant industry is having a hard time but that was unacceptable.

We drove to Westboro from Stittsville as one of the guest had food allergies for which we called a day before and were assured that they will be able to accomodate. The day of, we were told by our server that they do not have any arrangement to address our ask. What a bummer and misinformation. Above all the inconvenience of driving all the way with hungry kids. The service was slow and the server was mentally not in the restaurant. At first they almost ran off by taking partial orders. With the apps orders the server took the liberty to choose the sauces for us without our consent. The food finally arrived was good but that could have been at any works location. They should be respectful of their customers time and allergies and do not misinform them. I will stick with the works on the west end, where they are truthful and honest in their dealings.Dietary restrictions: Do not trust Westboro when they tell you if they will be able to accomodate your allergies

Let me start by saying we have gone to Works restaurants for years. We have not been since pre-pandemic. So we were looking forward to today’s lunch. We arrived at approximately 12:45 pm the waiter came, brought us water (that tastes terrible) and took our order. We waited, and waited with no sign of our food. The waiter did tell us once it shouldn’t be much longer. By 1:30 our food had still not arrived. I asked the waiter why it’s taken over 30 min to get our food. I have never had a waiter be so rude and hostile. His exact words were “ ya no doubt, it’s lunch time. I’ve seen people wait an hour. Did you see all the people in here? It’s lunch time.” He walked away and my friend and I just looked at each other in shock. We waited about another 5-10 min and he brought out the food. He was over compensating at this point, asking if my guest wanted another beer (didn’t ask if I needed a refill of soda water). The food was ok. Fries were Luke warm.I wanted to let the manager know that his employee Riley was directly responsible for two long time customers not coming back and telling people about our experience. Also, I took pictures of inside the restaurant. There were maybe 4 tables occupied with at most 10 people total in the regular restaurant area.

I placed a lunch order of BLT burger and drink supposed to be included. The total supposed to be $14.99. I confirmed the definition of drink with the waitress and she said beer is included. The bill end up around $30 more or less. I asked the waitress to correct it. She brought me the bill still around $26, as cheese and bacon is extra. She said I ordered plain burger that’s cause extra. If I placed the order xyz, it will still be BLT but the price will be $14.99 and it will be the same burger. Come on, what I ordered was BLT,how to placed the order is all done by the waitress. Plus you confirmed I placed a lunch order. So she called the manager. The manager said he corrected the bill and I eventually still need to pay around $26 as the beer as not included. The point is the waitress is not new. She’s been working there for a while and she charged me more a month ago. This her second time charged me more considering she only served me twice. She is not well trained at least. And the manager did not trust the client when the dispute occurred. At last, the bill is still not correct and I paid extra even I paid the beer as they did not discount the drink on the final bill.
