While I am not a big beer fan I have to say I do like more of theirs than I dislike. The real standout though is their non-alcoholic root beer. I first had it as part of the Mount Molson root beer float and after that I had to go and pick up some from the store itself. I would put it up against some of the biggest names out there like Mug or Bars and highly recommend it to everyone. Plus I really love it's name, the label, and the story on every can.

Best beer period! LOVE the 18 Pounder. War Dog is ridiculously good, Breacher is great and even the Royals, which I got by accident, was amazing!! Can't wait for my next trip up to Pet to get more!!Ubique!

I go out of my way to try all of the beers from this brewery and all of them were excellent! 18 pounder is a particular favourite. The beer is clearly made with care and the owners are passionate about what they do. I strongly recommend buying yourself a crate or two if you have to opportunity!

Friendly and welcoming service! The 4 legged greeter was a bonus. Picked a few of each kind of beer to take home as we had never had them before. Loved them all! Everytime we go to Petawawa we pick some up and if they are closed, you can get some locally at the Canex on base. It is great to read about the origins of the names of the beers on their website and the overall connection of the business to the military. Definitely recommend!

Great beer. Period. This micro brewery was a surprising find for me. I just walked in and started chatting with the owner, and bought one each of the five kinds of beer in the showcase plus one more that he recommended. I am not a stout-drinking guy myself, but the coffee stout was fantastic. As was the beer withblueberry extract. Definitely will go again!

Now that restrictions have eased a bit, I finally got a chance to head up to Petawawa and try out some Dog House brews. Picked up a few War Dog and 18 Pounders. Loved the War Dog lagered ale, nice and refreshing on a hot day. While I’m not usually a fan of amber ales, the 18 Pounder was a nice surprise. I’d recommend it and the War Dog to everyone. Only disappointment was the IPA (can’t remember the name) was out of stock but that just gives me an excuse to stop in again in July when I’ll be back in town.
